If the state of Alabama had its way, Mr. Lee Davis would still be in prison. There are hundreds, maybe thousands like him in ADOC who have been locked up far too long & deserve a new chance at freedom. Creating pathways out of a deadly prison system should not be controversial.

The AL Board of Pardons & Paroles has granted parole to just 7.5% of eligible people, the lowest % in over a decade. A current vacancy on the board leaves these decisions up to two people. Our state leaders need to do their jobs and fill that vacancy.

"The prison population of people 55 and older has tripled over the last two decades. The same trend holds true where I’m incarcerated, in California," writes Walter.

0ver 1100 people over 65 are being held in AL prisons. Many of them are NO longer a threat to public safety. Help redemptionearned.org find them & help them gain parole & placements in nursing homes. #redemption
The death march inside Alabama prisons continues, while lawmakers pass more bills to increase punishments. This is why our prisons are overcrowded & unconstitutional. Also because people in power don't care if prisoners suffer.

Alabamians have continued to vote for state officials who have failed to demand that AL prisons be safe. It is morally WRONG to lock people in places where they will be attacked, raped, & forced to do drugs. redemptionearned.org #redemption
