We often think of aging in years—but our daily choices shape our biological age too. Emerging research suggests reducing alcohol may benefit far more than the liver, supporting healthier aging at the cellular level. Every positive change counts. sciencefocus.com/the-human-b…

Recovery isn't about becoming someone new. It's about becoming who addiction convinced you you weren't.

In the first months of sobriety: Regret will hit you harder than ever. You’ll remember the money you wasted. The relationship and love you lost. The people you disappointed. Use it. Let regret become the reason you never go back.

Unpopular viewpoint- forgiveness is not mandatory, there are many evils and wrongs that are done even my parents siblings, and yes, ministers. “forgiveness changes you not the other person..” that means there’s two people involved in forgiveness and without one of them acknowledging their part it does not have to happen. We cannot keep reliving the trauma, cause we need to reach out, and I’m proud of everyone who reaches out to know that God will never reduce you

One of the best parts of recovery is learning how to enjoy life again. A night at the RailCats game with friends, celebrating milestones, making memories, and appreciating the connections that make the journey worthwhile.

9,496 days sober. What started with surrender became a life filled with healing, redemption, family, purpose, and grace. I’m grateful for every day and every lesson. God continues to exceed anything I could have imagined. One day at a time. ❤️ #Recovery #SobrietyAnniversary
