I would genuinely love to hear a member of the Newsnight production team, offer a justification of how it made a lick of sense editorially to have the podcasting former banjo player from Mumford and Sons argue tax and economic policy with an actual economist from the Green Party.
"If you want to lift up the poor, you have to create wealth." "How's that going?" Podcaster and former Mumford & Sons member Winston Marshall discusses taxes with economist and Green Party supporter Faiza Shaheen. #Newsnight

This is how you dismantle hate: When an Islamophobe bigot targeted his faith and questioned his loyalty, Abdul El-Sayed delivered a masterful response — invoking John F. Kennedy's historic legacy to firmly declare where his true allegiance lies.

The only reason you won a court case was because the judge deemed you too stupid to know you were doing wrong. You really want to remind folk of that???
I've just been accused of being an Establishment stooge. In my early twenties I fought a court case over my Brexit campaigning, I faced financial ruin, I won against wealthy Remain backers and the state. I have been threatened with arrest several times over free speech issues. This is probably the most laughable thing I've ever heard!

The Atlantic published this freak just a few months ago. Embarrassing.
The journalists at the @washingtonpost should themselves be investigated by the Israeli police and the @IDF as to who they are traveling with, their contacts, including relationships with terrorist organizations, foreign antizionist radicals and extremists, and their exact role in potentially inciting or instigating or engaging in violence against Israeli civilians.

Watch the first clip here. Heidi Levine is a Washington Post journalist in her mid 60s. Let's see how the Western media handles this one.

Nigel Farage completely silent and the security guard at the end responding to him touching her: "I can do what I want" This speaks volumes at the kind of men he employs and who follow him, they have no respect for women.
Nigel Farage would not answer my questions around the racism and sexism in his party when he walked through an Essex town centre today. Instead his ‘bodyguard’ whom I told not to touch me, told me, ‘I can do whatever I want’.

Irish people swear Guinness tastes better in Ireland. So four scientists spent a year drinking 103 pints across 14 countries to check if that's actually true. Ireland won in a landslide. Pints there averaged 74 out of 100. Everywhere else averaged 57. The difference held up even after they adjusted for pub atmosphere, how the pint looked, mouthfeel, and which researcher was drinking. Real 2011 paper in the Journal of Food Science, titled "Does Guinness Travel Well?" So you can see why Zuck hauled a keg over from Dublin. Here's what makes it funnier. The draught Guinness already on tap in San Francisco gets brewed at St. James's Gate in Dublin, the exact brewery that fills the kegs for Temple Bar. One recipe, one source, barrels on a boat either way. The researchers figured the real culprit was the tubing. Irish pubs pour so much Guinness that beer never sits in the line between barrel and tap. At a slow bar in America, your stout has been aging in warm plastic hose for days before it reaches the glass. The barrel makes the trip fine and then gets wrecked in the last three feet. So the one thing that actually makes a pint taste like Dublin is a packed pub drinking fast enough to keep the lines fresh. Good luck fitting that in cargo.
Zuckerberg (@finkd) showed up with a keg of Guinness from Dublin for the Cheeky Pint.

I’m not going to agree with Andy Burnham on everything, but this statement needed to be said by a Prime Minister. After the Conservatives suppressed the truth for years, this took courage.
Andy Burnham becomes first PM to confirm Russian interference in Brexit referendum @campbellclaret and @RoryStewartUK's exclusive interview with @andyburnham on tomorrow's episode of Leading is out in full at midnight.

Tom Watson, a recruitment boss from Worcester, is the guy behind a doxxing campaign targeting the RNLI and labelling as traitors. He's a Rupert Lowe supporter and his Twitter account that he's now deactivated has almost 50,000 followers and loads of racist posts. theguardian.com/uk-news/2026…

Here’s a new idea - people get stripped of honours for doing dishonourable things - let’s add tax dodging to the list. Jim Ratcliffe (I won't use his honorary title) is a great example, made billions here, moved to Monaco to avoid paying billions in tax - why do we honour him. He says Britain is a toxic place to do business, I say he’s a toxic person - and should have no voice here. Right now he wants Billions more in defence contracts - a tax exile who calls Britain toxic - wants more money from us. FU Jim. buff.ly/6zFAOmn

Reform investigated itself over the Channel 4 donations sting and found Reform did nothing wrong. The report was written by Reform’s own barrister and Reform’s own general secretary. The police are still investigating.
