My corrections were accepted today so that is it - I am #PhDone Thanks for being part of the journey folks 💕
I’ve been off this platform for a long time, lots of life events have happened, but I’m ready to reconnect with people again.
Hello to all of you out there who see this, I wish you a good day and hope you can find a way to be kind to yourself today - you’re doing great ❤️

My therapist: You sound like you're burnt out, have you considered doing less stuff?
Me, a person with ADHD: But then I'd risk being bored, and that would be way worse.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but "trying harder" is never going to cure your ADHD.

it is very clear that the vast majority of people still genuinely think that adhd is just a minor annoyance and it’s like no my brain physically never stops, i am unable to do things, i am constantly overwhelmed, it’s not just “no big deal” !!!!!!

If an autistic person tells you “please don’t speak to me like that” it is not an invitation to argue with them as to why the way you’re speaking to them is fine.
It doesn’t matter if you feel misunderstood.
We are so often on the brink, and just begging not to be shoved off.

Went to an ADHD discussion group about Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (an ADHD symptom where we are more sensitive and feel pain when being rejected) last night, and the main thing I took away was: RSD has a PROFOUND effect on all areas of ADHDers' lives.
Hello I’m Adi! You might have known me by another name in the past but don’t worry about that, just call me Adi from now on. Super nice to meet you all 👋💖

Anyone I know at #superbooth23 - heading over soon. Will be great to catch up with folks and make some wobbly synth noises!
Yesterday’s #ADHD tax was 90€ for the items I left in the loading bay at IKEA after promptly forgetting they existed when trying to fit everything in the car. Best part is as I moved the mirror out the way to stop it being knocked over, I said to myself “don’t forget about this“

Me: don't call people the r word. It's ableist and not cool
Society: okay I'll call them a moron
Me: no, that's also ableist and not okay
Society: well how am I meant to insult people based on their cognitive skills and perceived intellect
Me: you're not. That's the point.
Moved over to the other doom scroller - if you’re on Bluesky come find me bsky.app/profile/redroxproje… 💖
I don’t share much about my work over at Ableton but this is something I’m really proud of. I joined in November, started working with the Note team in December, by Feb we had a beta that was accessible to Voiceover and now it is in the App Store! #a11y

Feeling angry and shaken after a terrible experience this morning being assaulted on my way to work.
While waiting at a bus stop, someone came up behind me, grabbed my handlebars and pushed me forwards toward the road.
