The papistic separation from evangelical Catholicism is schism. They ought to repent.
Catholics: Stop wrangling with Protestants over all of the nonsense they talk about. Only one issue matters:
Protestants must prove that their separation from the Catholic Church is not schism. If they cannot do so (which they can't) they must return to the Church or die outside Christ's Church. All of their energy is spent trying to make excuses to NOT repent of schism and return to the Church.

Sønder Aarslev Church in Aarhus, Denmark.
Built in the late 12th century, the current brick church replaced the congregation’s original wooden church. After the Reformation, it belonged to the Danish Crown, and today is a member of the Church of Denmark.

Almighty and gracious Lord, pour out Your Holy Spirit on Your faithful people. Keep us steadfast in Your grace and truth, protect and deliver us in times of temptation, defend us against all enemies, and grant to Your Church Your saving peace; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

The Council of Ephesus replaced Nestorius, patriarch of Constantinople, with Maximianus. Nestorius had been anathematized for holding that two separate persons indwelt the incarnate Christ.

Lutheranism isn’t the rejection of the catholic & orthodox Church. It’s the call to return to it. We embrace the ancient Church, we confess the faith once delivered to the saints purified by the Word. The Augsburg Confession wasn’t a new beginning but the old faith restated. ☩

1 The Law of God is good and wise
And sets His will before our eyes,
Shows us the way of righteousness,
And dooms to death when we transgress.

Today, we remember with gratitude those who came before us, who gave us the gift of seeing, knowing, and believing the True Gospel of Jesus Christ once more, as it had been given by Christ and His Apostles to His Church.
We hope you will join us at 9:30 for the Divine Service!

4 Lord, let me win my foes
With kindly words and actions,
And let me find good friends
For counsel and correction.
Help me, as You have taught,
To love both great and small
And by Your Spirit's might
To live in peace with all.
