Armenian MP Lusine Badalyan has been barred from entering Russia to attend a CIS Interparliamentary Assembly meeting. It’s high time #Armenia ditched this utterly useless organisation, as #Georgia, #Ukraine and #Moldova have already done.

Russia has given no reason for banning Lusine Badalyan from entering the country. However, she had previously called for Russian TV channels in Armenia to be shut down over propaganda broadcasts in which Russians threatened Armenia with a fate similar to Ukraine’s.

This is what “democracy” and the “rule of law” look like in Nikol’s Armenia. For the first time in my life, I am ashamed to be a lawyer, to be an Armenian lawyer. No one, regardless of what they may have done, deserves this kind of humiliation in the name of justice.

But what’s truly disgraceful is the way the lawyers representing these corrupt individuals are trying to tarnish the image of democratic Armenia. Everyone in Armenia knows that this man is a criminal and that he is pretending to be seriously ill.

At the SCO Plus meeting in Bishkek, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chose to speak Armenian rather than Russian - unlike the leaders of several other former Soviet republics. For the record, he speaks Russian fluently. Well done, Nikol! 💪🇦🇲

My sincere gratitude to President Vahagn Khachaturyan @President_Arm and Prime Minister @NikolPashinyan for their warm congratulations on Ukraine’s Independence Day! The high-level dialogue between our two countries has now been reinvigorated. We hope it will be followed by closer cooperation at other levels and in many areas.
