For ten years Europe has treated Trump's affection for Moscow as a personality quirk, something to be managed with flattery, state dinners and a larger order for American jets. That era of polite self-deception is over. A president who funds the aggressor and starves the victim has answered the question of whose side he is on, and anyone still waiting for more evidence is not being cautious but is simply afraid of the conclusion.
Ukraine must plan as though American support is gone and American pressure is coming. Any deal drafted in Washington should be read as a deal drafted in Moscow, and Kyiv has every right to refuse a peace designed by two men who want it to lose.
Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand should take no comfort in distance. A president who trades away Ukraine for cheaper diesel will trade away Taiwan for less, and their security guarantees are worth exactly what his word is worth.
The democracies of the Pacific and the Atlantic need to bind themselves to each other directly, in arms, intelligence and trade, with Washington outside the room.
The playbook already exists, because we wrote it for Russia: reduce exposure, close dependencies, sanction the enablers, and wait for better leadership while preparing for it never to arrive. America may return to us one day. Until then, we treat Trump's United States as what it has chosen to be.

It’s asinine to think AI development is going to slow down. In the history of mankind, technology has never been intentionally slowed.
Nobody paused electricity because people got electrocuted.
Nobody stopped building railways because of crashes.
Nobody banned cars because of accidents.
Nobody shut down the internet because of fraud.
What are AI scientists supposed to do? Mandatory nap time for 2-3 hours?
The buildout continues. The capex continues.
The race does not pause because someone wrote an essay.

The Incident: On April 25, 1980, the Trump Organization executed an eviction against Mary Filan, a 74-year-old widow who was partially paralyzed from a recent stroke.
The Location: The eviction occurred at her rent-controlled apartment in Flushing, Queens, where she had lived for over 30 years.
The Dispute: The Trump Organization claimed she owed four months of back rent. However, Filan maintained that her rent was fully paid, stating that her last bill was a minor balance of $10.20, which she had already cleared.
The Aftermath: City marshals and moving crews removed her belongings—including her furniture and jewelry—leaving her sitting on a laundry hamper in the apartment. Due to the trauma and her medical condition, neighbors and city social services arranged for her immediate admission to a local hospital.

BREAKING: MAD KING! Trump insanely announces that six people have been arrested for imaginary vandalism done to the Reflecting Pool as the scandal consumes him completely.
These renovations have destroyed the last of his rotting mind...
"Six people have been arrested, and seven people have been cited, for the damage they did to our Country’s now beautiful Reflecting Pool," Trump wrote on Truth Social. "The 350 foot gash, made by a very sharp knife or razors, is actually numerous slashes over a very long 350 foot length. It was purposefully and criminally done, and somebody had to work very hard, probably in the dark of night, to create such a condition."
This is obviously a complete fabrication. Crazed vandals have not been diving into the pool in broad daylight and slashing madly with "very sharp" knives at the substandard lining that was installed. Nor are there secretive leftist cells sneaking into the pool at night to do such dirty work.
If there were any truth to Trump's claim the White House would be blasting out the evidence. There would be photos and videos of the vandals because the pool is under constant surveillance.
There are two likely explanations here. Either nobody was arrested at all, or the Trump administration scooped up six people on sham charges which will soon be thrown out. Either way, we once again see this President prioritizing his focus on a self-inflicted PR wound rather than on the rising cost of living or any of the countless other real problems facing average Americans.

Nobody is falling for this narrative except for the most gullible. diehard MAGA supporters. The Reflecting Pool has become a disgusting, algae-tinged swamp because Trump hired shady firms — including one run by a convicted felon — to do the renovations and they either cut corners or had no idea what they were doing.
This is run-of-the mill Trumpian incompetence, not a grand conspiracy.

Even Jabber Jeremy Clarkson can understand the absurdity with the Bovine TB test. They inject a load of chemical gunk into a cow, if the injection site swells at all they kill the cow.
Just the imprecision of the test alone of how it is measured is noted. But the true scam lies in monumentally stupid assumption that somehow puncturing the skin and injecting a foreign agent *shouldn't* injure.
Really they are taking the most healthy cattle and slaughtering them.
With 1 in 4 healthy people testing positive for TB, this scam is not getting any better with PCR tests either.
