Today's home heating safety tip: clear the area around your fireplace! 🔥 With temperatures dropping, it's almost time to get cozy by the fire with your loved ones. If you're roasting chestnuts on an open fire, make sure that potential fuel for a home fire (think curtains, rugs, and decorations) is at least 3 feet away. Keep the holiday season happy and safe, and enjoy the warmth responsibly! Learn more about home heating and holiday safety SoundtheAlarm.org/Nevada

Question: What does a smoke alarm even do? 🤔 Answer: It does more than just annoy you when it runs out of battery, or cause undue panic when you've burnt your toast: a smoke alarm can save the lives of your loved ones. In the event of a home fire, you may have as little as two minutes to escape. An early warning from your smoke alarm can make the difference between safety and tragedy. You're more likely to have a home fire than to catch a foul ball at a baseball game. Don't take chances and check your smoke alarm today! Find more home fire safety tips: rdcrss.org/2T3N0xU
