I tend to think this is probably in response to losing users actually. It might be too severe, but it seems to (appropriately) punish the behaviors that piss people off for pure engagement value, and promote the kinds of things people scroll for. Just my 2 cents.

I am distinctly reminded (everytime someone makes this mistake) of an infomercial from 2008-10ish where the line, "We know it's true because the Internet tells us it's true." Was used. I wish I could find that clip, but I don't even remember what it was they were trying to sell.
I do not believe that we have seen Democrats crash out this hard since they got told killing babies was only okay if enough of your neighbors agreed with you on it...
There are two types of people in this country.
Those who understand that just because someone states something as fact does not make it true.
And Democrats.

Just to be clear, the theory that leftists are running with is that the Trump Administration somehow convinced a registered Democrat to volunteer to go to prison for the rest of his life so that they could use him as a patsy for a third staged assassination attempt -- one that, they apparently believe, was concocted mostly to justify building a White House ballroom that's already being built anyway. That's their theory of the case here.
Political violence is the sign of a sick society. A society that has no regard for itself will destroy itself. When we stop viewing each other across the aisle as people, we become no better than animals, desperate and rabid.
In America, if you don’t like the policies of an administration, or you don’t like the President, you can vote them out. Believe it or not, we still have that here. Many countries do not. These people must stop believing that assassination and vigilantism which NEGATES the will of the people is THEIR right. Doesn’t matter who it is. A bullet from a madman’s gun does NOT SPEAK for US.

Executives at TikTok and Instagram are reportedly devastated after learning X creators have stopped reposting their videos on X for free.

Really enjoying all of the slop accounts getting demonetized today, and then complaining like they don't already know the reason. One look at their feed and it's obvious they've been manipulating the algorithm for their own gain, and "creating" nothing of value in the process.
I wish people would stop making up "Theories" about the SPLC investigation.
