The $2 billion was deposited with a WLFI custodian, for which WLFI gets yearly interest. $2 billion in USD1 was sent by MGX, a state-owned UAE Co., as the first ever investment in CZ’s Binance. WLFI then locked Sun’s tokens so he could not sell them. Sun sued WLFI for $1 billion.
