"meanwhile the odds for me are super high" – you can design your life to be this way! xitter.cf/lauren_wilford/status/…
this reminds me of something: I love waiting tables on my birthday, because inevitably I wait on a few people who have the same birthday (I only tell them if we make a connection, at the very end). Their mind is blown, “what are the odds?” Meanwhile the odds for me are super high

this art is obviously well executed, but the only explanation I can come up with for why it’s happening is that Ajani really enjoys parkour

“Latine” is right there and not awkward and unpronounceable
The Latinx polling paper is excellent, but reaches the wrong conclusion. It has almost nothing to do with queerphobia, Latino voters just don’t like being called LatinX. Politicians using the term "Latinx" lose 6 PERCENTAGE POINTS vote share. A 🧵👇🏻 1/N xitter.cf/mfrmarcel/status/18508…

If someone asked you who you think loves the game -- purely loves the game, puts their heart into the game -- the most, who would you name?

I am literally a hat, pay me no mind
At a seemingly increasing rate, the very talented ppl I know not only don’t want fame – they’re actively *afraid* of it. I think this might be because of more widespread experiences of microdosing fame & its consequences in the age of accidentally viral posts

the gay slutcloud has been very good to me
Part of the reason I like talking publicly about the sex culture I'm in is that I know a lot of people who used to be living in deep shame about their sexuality, and only after learning to accept themselves, entered into the slutcloud lifestyle, and strongly prefer this life over their past one. Some of these people have been living it successfully for years, or decades, some married and with kids, people for whom the slutcloud is clearly the right choice. I don't think the slutcloud is right for everyone! You might introspect hard and realize that you want a simple monog lifestyle. That's also totally fine! You are fortunate that the thing you naturally are, also happens to be the thing so culturally approved! But there are people out there, right now, who are living in self hatred, shame, and fear, who don't want to admit to themself that the stigmatized path of weirdness is actually the one that would make them happiest. I feel strongly about living publicly in full self-acceptance, so that I can help show other people that it's possible to accept yourself, as you are, in a vibrant and healthy way, and that it will be ok, there are others like you, all in a cozy community where we all support each other. You are not alone! There are those who will cradle you lovingly in your strangeness - not in spite of it, but because of it.
