Our ducklings are growing very fast! They enjoyed a swim today in our water tray. The children loved seeing the ducklings dive into the water and splash around.
As part of our topic on ‘Identity’, the children will be learning about lifecycles. To support this reception have duckling eggs! They’ve started hatching and the children are so excited! @IPAT_Edu @WestThorntonSch
This week the reception enjoyed using manipulatives to solve subtraction number stories.#eyfs
Since the start of our new topic on recycling and sustainability our Reception children have been so interested in recycling. Here, they independently took some cardboard that was about to be thrown away and used it to make something new! @IPAT_Edu @InspireEYFS @WestThorntonSch
What a great start to our new topic! Reception had a visit from Ranger Stu who showed them lots of exotic animals. They got to see and hold a tarantula, skunk and even a snake! @IPAT_Edu @InspireEYFS @TandL_WestThorn

As part of our core text, ‘It’s Your World Now’, we are learning about marvellous people. We have been learning how to mix colours by being scientists and how to be a doctor by acting out ‘Miss Polly had a dolly’. @TandL_WestThorn
