🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in Michigan after a driver who backed into a 76-year-old GREAT-GRANDMOTHER, left her DYING at the end of a driveway, DROVE OFF... and then DROVE BACK PAST THE SCENE...
...was sentenced to JUST 100 WEEKENDS in jail.
Yes, you read that right... WEEKENDS.
She left a 76-year-old woman to die on the pavement, and her punishment is LITERALLY part-time jail.
The victim's name was Mary Hulswit, she was 76 years old.
She was married for 55 years, she had two children, three grandchildren and just had her first great-grandchild.
On Saturday, November 1st, 2025, St. Clair Shores police got a call near Harper Avenue and 13 Mile Road.
A woman's body was lying at the end of a driveway.
That was Mary.
Prosecutors say 32-year-old Stephanie Holt hit her while backing out of the driveway.
She didn't stop. She didn't call 911. She just drove away.
And according to investigators, she later DROVE BY THE SCENE AGAIN... and kept going.
Holt was charged with failure to stop at the scene of an accident resulting in death.
In Michigan, that's a felony, up to 15 YEARS in prison.
She posted a $100,000 bond and went home with a GPS tether after FOUR DAYS in jail.
On July 15th, she pleaded no contest.
This week in Macomb County Circuit Court, a female Judge, Jennifer M. Faunce, handed down the sentence.
Two years of probation.
365 days in jail... served ONE WEEKEND AT A TIME. 100 weekends.
Check in Friday at 5 p.m., check out for the week and credit for those four days she already did.

Dear President Trump and everyone at the White House, please do something about this.
Diane Rothchild taught kids at Camp Lejeune, and during the workday she would drink the same base water as everyone else. Years later, like so many others who were at Camp Lejeune, Diane contracted Parkinson’s. Her balance got worse, which led to a fall that broke her hip. She had to quit teaching.
DOJ Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward reviewed her case and offered her $87,500 to settle outside of court. And here’s the nasty little kicker: the settlement offer Stanley sent Diane includes a clause that says if she takes the DOJ to court and gets awarded less, she has to pay the government’s attorney’s fees.
This is shockingly bad conduct by @ASGWoodward. He needs to be replaced immediately @AGToddBlanche, and the victims need to be fairly compensated.
Why is Stanley Woodward, the third most powerful official at the DOJ, THREATENING to basically bankrupt cancer victims and Parkinson’s patients who were poisoned by the water at Camp Lejeune unless they stop fighting for what they deserve to receive as compensation?

Diane Rothchild’s husband was a Marine, and she worked in Camp LeJeune’s elementary schools from 1972-75. She spent four or five days a week on base and drank water, tea, and fountain drinks made at the base.
Diane describes Parkinson’s symptoms dating back to the 1990s, as well as balance problems and a broken hip after a fall. She stopped teaching in 2009, and estimates $45K–$75K in lost wages as well as $13K in medical costs.
She has suffered from substantially diminished motor function, tremors, impaired gait and balance, social isolation, diminished mental function, sleep disturbances, and extreme emotional distress.

His name is Don Johnson.
He's 81 years old, from The Colony, Texas, just outside Dallas.
His wife Josephine has been by his side for 57 YEARS. She's fighting an aggressive cancer.
Three years ago, when the medical bills started piling up, Don went looking for work.
He tried Amazon. He tried Walmart. Nobody would take him.
So he became an independent contractor delivering lost airline luggage to people's front doors.
Sometimes 14 hours a day. Hundreds of miles in a single shift. Driving as far as OKLAHOMA to get a bag to its owner.
He put over 200,000 MILES on his own car doing it.
At 81 years old.
"I appreciate what we do get from insurance, but it doesn't cover it all. And cancer treatment is very expensive."
Then on a September day he dropped a suitcase on the steps outside a home in The Colony.
A woman named Erin Howell heard the noise on her door cam and came outside.
She offered to help carry it, and she asked him a simple question: why is a man your age doing this?
His answer: "It's the only job that will hire me."
Then he told her about Josephine.
Erin could have wished him well and gone back inside.
Instead she started a GoFundMe and a TikTok page called "Help Don Retire."
She wrote that at an age when he should be resting by his wife's side, he was out on the highway lifting bags to keep her alive.
The goal was $150,000.
It blew past that in DAYS.
Then $281,000.
Then $370,000.
Now more than $600,000 and still climbing.
More than ELEVEN THOUSAND people gave.
But here's the part that got me...
Right before all of this, Don's car had started breaking down and he'd already been forced to cut back his hours.
He was running out of road.
And that's exactly when a stranger he'd talked to for five minutes knocked on the whole country's door and AMERICA showed up.
"I left and thought I'd never see her again," Don said. "And it was an amazing thing she did for me, for us."
His wife, Josephine says after 57 years, she's watching "for better or worse" happen right in front of her.
"I'm so happy that he turned out to be the man he is."
And Don? He's not talking about himself.
"I love her dearly, and I just want her to be well. It restores my faith in people. For her and others to do for me, that was a miracle. I look forward to the day that I can help people just like I'm being helped now."
He never asked for a dime.
He just kept carrying the bags.

First, the auto industry tried to force us into monthly subscriptions just to use our own heated seats. Then they started voiding warranties if you dare to change your own brakes.
Now, General Motors is taking away the most basic tool under the hood.
For the 2027 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra V8s, GM is completely removing the physical engine oil dipstick.
Their corporate response? A total shrug. They claim they’re "simplifying the ownership experience" by replacing it with a digital sensor at the bottom of the oil pan.
Translation: If your truck is burning oil and you want to double-check the level yourself, you either have to cross your fingers that the computer isn't glitching, or you have to jack the truck up, crawl underneath it, or pay a dealership service center just to find out where your fluid levels are.
It’s an absolute middle finger to
American truck owners, DIY mechanics, and anyone who believes in the Right to Repair. The comments section on TikTok is already completely losing its mind, with thousands calling for an absolute boycott of GM products.
Corporate greed has officially crossed the line. They don't care what the public thinks—they just want total control over the vehicle you supposedly "own."

Scientists just discovered a new virus carried by a tick that's already living in more than two dozen US states. The virus hasn't been found here yet, but the tick has.
It's called the Asian longhorned tick. Females lay 1,000 to 2,000 eggs without ever mating, so one tick hitching a ride can start a whole new population. A male tick has never been found in the US.
It was first confirmed in New Jersey in 2017, probably arriving years earlier on an imported animal or a traveler. Now it's in 24 states from New York to Alabama and west to Missouri.
On livestock, it shows up by the thousands. Cattle have died from the blood loss, and it spreads a parasite that causes deadly anemia in cows.
It's less interested in people than our native ticks, and it hasn't been shown to make anyone sick in the US. But in Asia, it carries Dabie bandavirus, which kills up to 30% of the people it infects.
It's smaller than a sesame seed, so do the basics. Use repellent. Stay in the middle of the trail. Check yourself, your kids and your dog after you come inside. Keep your pets on tick prevention, which works on this tick too.
And if you find a tiny brown tick you can't identify, drop it in rubbing alcohol and send it to your state extension office. They'll want to have a look at it.

Send the patient home. Wait until their lips turn blue. Bring them in, put them in a coma, put them on a ventilator, and watch nine out of ten of them die. That was the official protocol, set by the WHO, the UN, and the United States government.
Meanwhile, the doctors who refused to follow it, the ones who kept the Hippocratic Oath and treated the patient in front of them with whatever actually worked, were getting twice the survival rate. And those are the doctors who lost their licenses. Every single one of them, shut down, for having the best outcomes in the world and refusing to stay quiet about it.
What we're left with is a medical establishment that purged its best doctors to protect a protocol that was killing nine out of ten people who followed it. That isn't a mistake. That is the greatest medical fraud that has ever taken place.

Jaquoya Wix, 34, was on break behind the Woodward Avenue Chipotle about 2:30 p.m. on September 20 when a man came at her in the alley.

Police and prosecutors say her throat was cut and she was st*bbed in the chest and under the ear. She ran toward a nearby business and collapsed. She was pronounced de*d at a hospital.

Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy charged Devon Jason Watson, 42, with first-degree premeditated m*rder. She said the two did not know each other. "He planned out his acts before he acted."

Watson was arrested within minutes after a witness chased him and downtown cameras tracked him to Woodward and State.

In July, police took him to an ER for acting out in a coffee shop. A nurse wrote that he appeared psychotic and did not know where he was. On July 13 a court ordered him into Havenwyck Hospital in Auburn Hills.

A doctor checked the box that he could reasonably be expected to seriously injure himself or others. Mayor Mary Sheffield called the attack unprovoked by a man with severe mental health issues.

Watson’s record includes a 2010 criminal s*xual conduct guilty plea with four years of probation and a 2016 misdemeanor as$ault with 10 days in jail.

Wix left a 15-year-old daughter, Kacya, who had already lost her father. Detroit stations and the local papers covered it. AP, the New York Times, NPR, CNN, the Washington Post, and the rest of that list did not make her a national story.

The elderly man, Lance Jefferies, is currently recovering in the hospital.
According to family members, Lance's eyes are swollen shut. He has neck injuries, his jaw is swollen. He has blood clots in his leg and also in his stomach where he was kicked. So now he has to stay in the hospital so he can get surgery, and he’s in a lot of pain.”
Lance is described as "quiet man who rarely goes out much" and stays at home with his wife most of the time.

Cataracts get blamed on the sun, and what builds up inside a clouding lens is the breakdown product of rancid fat.
Cataract surgery is the most common operation on the NHS. The lens it replaces is one of the strangest things in your body. It has no blood supply, and the proteins at its centre were laid down before you were born and are never replaced. You are looking at this screen through the same lens proteins you had in the womb. Whatever damages them stays damaged.
When researchers open cataract lenses and compare them with clear ones, they keep finding the same thing: lipid peroxidation products, conjugated dienes and malondialdehyde. Those are what fat throws off as it goes rancid, and they come from polyunsaturated fat, the kind with double bonds in it. Saturated fat has none to break. The levels are higher in cataract lenses than in clear ones, and highest of all in the cataracts of diabetics.
So the damage arrives from the inside, carried in the fluid that feeds the lens:
- Fats that rust
- Sugar that sticks
- A body with too few defences left to mop up either

A pair of sunglasses is a hat for an eye that's being rusted from within. It shades the lens from the sky while breakfast goes on doing the damage.
