U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro personally brought a box of evidence to the White House on Monday in an effort to convince President Trump that damage to the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool was caused by faulty construction, not vandalism, according to CBS News.
The meeting came just hours after President Trump publicly criticized Pirro for dropping the felony case against former Olympian David Hearn, saying she had "folded like an umbrella." CBS News reports Pirro showed the president evidence her office says was provided by the Interior Department after the indictment and demonstrated the damage resulted from a botched renovation rather than criminal vandalism.
The Justice Department has since moved to dismiss charges against Hearn and three others, arguing new evidence undermined the original prosecution. The dispute has become a rare public rift between President Trump and one of his longtime political allies, with CNN previously reporting the president has privately discussed removing Pirro from her post.
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro was seen leaving the White House West Wing earlier wheeling a black briefcase and file box, as rumors swirl in Washington about her potential firing by President Trump.

Investors are extremely bullish as money is pouring into stocks and high-yield debt, while U.S. equities attracted another $9.6 billion in just one week.
But BofA is doing the opposite.
It is telling investors to cut risk and move into defensive assets.
The concern is simple; almost everything is being priced for more upside.

U.S. bases across the Middle East face a more dangerous Shahed threat as reports indicate that Russia is returning battlefield-tested upgrades to the Iranian design. AP reported in March that upgraded Russian-built drones were being sent to Tehran, while Reuters later said Western analysts were examining whether Russian technology helped Iranian drones strike CIA facilities in Riyadh and eastern Iraq.
🔸 Iran originally supplied Russia with the Shahed-136 design. Russia then established mass production of its Geran-2 derivative and refined it through years of large-scale combat use.
🔸 Russian development work has produced Shahed variants with improved satellite navigation, stronger protection against jamming, new radio links, cameras and upgraded flight computers. Other versions have appeared with jet engines and onboard AI, although AP’s sources did not identify which variants were reportedly sent to Iran.
🔸 Reuters cited two Western officials who believed Russian-enhanced Shaheds were used in the attack on the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh. One drone reportedly opened a hole in the building before a second passed through it and detonated near the CIA station. No casualties were reported.
🔸 Western intelligence sources also claim Russia supplied Iran with the Kometa-M satellite-navigation module, designed to maintain greater accuracy under electronic attack. The Kremlin dismissed the report as “fake news.”
🔸 Faster and harder-to-jam drones create an expensive problem for defenders. Low-cost Shaheds can arrive in waves, forcing U.S. forces to consume limited stocks of missiles that cost far more than the targets they destroy.
🔸 AP’s sources could not confirm the number or exact type of drones involved. But access to Russian navigation, communications and anti-jamming upgrades could matter more than the size of a single shipment.
Iran supplied the original design. Russia mass-produced it, improved it under years of battlefield pressure and may now be returning those lessons to Tehran. For U.S. bases, the danger is not one drone but repeated salvos that are harder to jam, faster to adapt and far cheaper than the missiles used to stop them.

In a Truth Social post Saturday, the president publicly contradicted interim U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro over the investigation into damage at the National Mall's Reflecting Pool, making clear he believes she got it completely wrong.
"I disagree 100% with Jeanine Pirro," Trump wrote. "I don't know what she was thinking?"
Trump insisted the damage was "a pure case of VANDALISM," dismissing suggestions that contractors may have played a role.
"There may have been some contractor difficulty," he wrote, "but the major damage was caused by VANDALS!"
It's a remarkable public rebuke of a woman Trump personally chose to serve as the top federal prosecutor in Washington, D.C., and who spent years kissing Trump’s tuchus on Fox News as one of his most loyal public allies.
Yet when her handling of a politically charged case diverged from the president's preferred narrative, Trump didn't bother to pick up the phone – he made her walk the plank for all to see.
As we well know, loyalty for Trump is a one-way street. His allies are expected to stand behind him without question, and when they don't, even briefly, they can find themselves learning about the president's disappointment the same way everyone else does: via public shaming.
Every official who serves under Trump understands the risk. Loyalty flows in one direction. They are expected to defend him without hesitation, but the moment Trump decides they've become politically inconvenient, he has no qualms about dressing them down in public.
Jeanine Pirro is simply the latest reminder that serving Donald Trump comes with no guarantee he'll ever stand by you, and that once he considers you no longer useful, you are finished.

🇺🇸 Vice President JD Vance stressed that the U.S. conflict with Iran is still “in the middle of the game,” with Washington using military, economic and diplomatic pressure to force long-term changes from Tehran, on Fox News.
🔹 Vance said the administration’s immediate priority is maximizing oil and gas shipments through the Strait of Hormuz and “getting as much oil and gas out of the Middle East” so Americans receive lower energy prices.
