It’s hard to describe what it sounds like to relearn how to hear digitally, but it’s a process. It took time to adjust and develop a more natural sound. The beginning was hard, but I decided to take it on as a challenge. I had to practice every day.
It’s amazing how adaptable our brains are with training. What was your experience like? Any good stories? #CochlearImplants #Hearing #Listening #Sounds #ASMR #UsherSyndrome #Audio #Instagood #Deaf #DeafBlind #DeafCommunity #Audiophile #Loud #StitchMe #HearingLoss
Like hearing loss, vision loss can also cause visual hallucinations, known as Charles Bonnet syndrome. It can be a frightening experience, particularly if you don’t know that it is commonly associated with vision loss.
While there is no treatment for it, it’s important to know that it’s not a mental health-related issue.

How do we address grief and loss when we experience it on a continuum? When you allow yourself to feel your emotions, they become more familiar and recognizable and even less acute over time.
I have spent years deepening my relationship with #griefandloss—the two emotions most people fear and avoid because of its association with death. Whether it has to do with death or not, we all experience grief and loss in our everyday lives.
