The newly launched Gaza Genocide Center has released its first survivor testimony, with English subtitles. Somaia El-Swerki was 19 when an Israeli airstrike destroyed her family home in Gaza City on December 2, 2023. She survived 21 days trapped beneath the rubble. Her mother died beside her on the seventh day.
"Mama held on for seven days before she died." Somaia lay beside her mother beneath the rubble of their home in Gaza City for three weeks, and lived to tell it. Our first testimony from Gaza, now with English subtitles.

To be clear: Some facts are neither in dispute nor unclear. Our photographer was clearly marked as Press. She was clearly beaten. These are not partisan or risible statements, but indisputable. We urge a thorough investigation and accountability.
The Prime Minister’s Office: The facts surrounding the confrontation near Abu Falah, during which Washington Post photojournalist Heidi Levine was allegedly assaulted, remain unclear and are under investigation. Israel unequivocally condemns violence against anyone—Jews, Arabs, Christians or journalists. Those responsible will be held accountable. But serious questions remain. Reports indicate some 200 Arabs and far-left activists confronted approximately 40 Israeli youths. Footage shows masked individuals on both sides hurling objects, amid reports of fireworks fired at Jewish youths. Other footage appears to show Levine knocked down and immediately helped to her feet by the same unidentified individual. The investigation must establish the facts, including who initiated the violence. We will not allow disputed incidents to be exploited to demonize the hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria. The facts must determine the conclusions. Not the headlines.

EXCLUSIVE: Elon Musk came to Donald Trump with the plan to throttle Ukraine’s use of SpaceX’s Starshield satellite internet network, sources have told the Telegraph. The tech billionaire made the proposal during the US President’s row with Volodymyr Zelensky over strikes on Russian oil refineries. ‘The reality is that they were both in it,’ a senior source said of Musk’s and Trump’s involvement. But after a night of carnage in Kyiv caused by the slowdown, Musk was alarmed about the possibility of adverse consumer reaction in Europe. The SpaceX boss then proceeded to tweet, blaming the US administration, and ultimately, President Trump for authorising the slowdown. ‘He tweeted out that he was innocent and that it was the US administration that did it,’ the source said.

At this very moment, booby trapped robots carrying tons of explosives are being detonated in Gaza City, behind the Yellow Line Massive, terrifying explosions are shaking the city. These explosions have been ongoing for weeks. A single blast can destroy an entire neighborhood in a matter of seconds, wiping out every trace of it. Although I am hundreds of kilometers away from the targeted area, the blast was so powerful that I felt as if it had happened right next to us. The situation here is absolutely terrifying. Talk about what is happening in Gaza. Write about it and share it. What is happening here must not be allowed to pass in silence.

New: Oscar Belgal filed a new release petition in Brooklyn. He says ICE never ID’d themselves before shooting. “It wasn't until later, when Oscar woke up in the hospital with one of their bullets lodged in his neck, that the individuals would declare themselves as ICE officers.”
Update: Oscar Belgal, the man shot by ICE in New York City yesterday, has been located by his legal team. He still has the bullet lodged in his body. He's currently at MDC Brooklyn. ICE drove him to NJ last night, then brought him back to NYC today. courthousenews.com/ice-shot-…

The Stop the Settlements Act would sanction anyone looking to take Palestinian land in the West Bank or Gaza. And support keeps growing. Since I introduced the bill alongside Reps. Dean, Beyer, Casar, Jacobs, and Escobar, over 50 members have now co-sponsored. Settlement expansion pushes Palestinians off their land and makes peace harder to achieve. It’s time to use tools like sanctions to stop it. Thank you to our newest co-sponsors: Rep. Everton Blair (GA-13) Rep. Bill Foster (IL-11) Rep. Valerie Foushee (NC-04) Rep. Jonathan Jackson (IL-01) Rep. Hank Johnson (GA-04) Rep. LaMonica McIver (NJ-10) Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton (DC-AL) Rep. James Walkinshaw (VA-11) Rep. Maxine Waters (CA-43) Rep. Nikema Williams (GA-05)
