VIDEO | Delhi: CJP Spokesperson Saurav Das says, "On Saturday, the government, in front of the entire nation and through the entire press, sat with us and assured us, guaranteed us, that the protesters who came for our protest would not be prosecuted. They would not be pursued with FIRs, and if there were any existing FIRs, they would be withdrawn. Such a written guarantee was supposed to come to us by today, Tuesday. However, now we find that a bunch of PILs were filed in the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court today passed an order that contains one line, saying that any existing FIRs may continue to be investigated by the government. Now, the government representatives we met in the evening are telling us that the matter is sub judice. So far, they have not given us that written assurance. They are now using that order and trying to go back on the guarantees they gave to the youth of this country. So, we have declared on our social media handles that if the government does not stand by its words and does not honour the agreements, we will be forced to again call for a big protest, not just in Delhi but nationwide..."

🚨STATEMENT A big relief to students and protesters in Bihar, hours after our latest Press Conference declaring possible Delhi protests if guarantees not honoured! @Cockroachisback

VIDEO | New Delhi: Addressing a press conference, Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) spokesperson Ashutosh Ranka says, "During our third round of talks with JP Nadda ji and Jitendra Singh ji on July 25, it was agreed that all FIRs filed against protesters and organisers in connection with the Jantar Mantar protest, the July 20 protest, and demonstrations held across the country would be withdrawn. It was also agreed that no new FIRs would be filed in the future against any protester or organiser. We had submitted a written draft of this agreement to JP Nadda ji and Jitendra Singh ji, and it was agreed that the government would share its written copy of the agreement with us by Tuesday. After both sides' lawyers review and align on the draft, the agreement will be finalised. We are now waiting for the government to share the written agreement at the earliest. You may also refer to what JP Nadda ji said during his press conference and to his post on this issue. We expect that if a senior Cabinet Minister enters into an agreement on behalf of the government, it will be honoured. All FIRs that have been filed should be withdrawn, and no protester or organiser should be harassed, detained, or arrested. No cases should be filed against any protester or organiser in the future. If the government does not share the written agreement by tomorrow, and if students, youth, and protesters who have been arrested or detained in different states are not released, the Cockroach Janta Party will once again be compelled to launch protests."
