J. Cole explains why he places NO VALUE on the RESPONSE to his music from a fulfillment perspective: “Writing is the #1 experience… Releasing the [music] is exciting but it’s nothing in comparison to the [Creation process]… The REACTIONS is at the Bottom of the pole— No fulfillment comes from that.” Cole adds, “I know I’m only able to do this because God blessed me to do it. He sending me the words, I just have to be clear enough to hear them.. That’s the gratitude and that’s where I get fulfillment.”

Russ remembers some GREAT advice from J. Cole: “J. Cole has this GREAT f*cking interview from years ago where he shared, ‘If you put great music out on the internet, your fanbase will find you.’” Russ shared a LOT of valuable game for artists and creatives in this interview. Via - Behind The Wall

J. Cole gives ADVICE to content creators: “Quantity is more important than quality in this day & age… If you have superior taste in quality than me but I [produce] more in quantity, I will be further along than you in terms of results.” He adds, “Just show up. You are the quality. The s*it could be shot on an iPhone— it’s the knowledge, breakdown, perspective and personality that’s going to cut through.” Via - No Bars Off
