A Christian priest (Luke Larner in Luton) says he gets more Muslim volunteers helping out at his church than he does from right wingers.
Larner is an Anglican priest in Luton who co-runs the Biscot Peace and Wellbeing Hub alongside a local Muslim doctor.
He addresses the online outrage over mosques opening while churches close, pointing out the hypocrisy of people claiming to “protect churches” while failing to volunteer. Meanwhile, Muslims make up a larger share of the volunteers at their food bank and community projects.

Mothin Ali – apology and Correction
On 18 July 2024, I published a post on my X account in which I stated that Mr Mothin Ali, an elected official and Deputy Leader of the Green Party, was involved in the Harehills riots of July 2024 in which people attacked the police.
That statement was incorrect. In fact, Mr Ali was asked by the police to use his position of trust in the community to help bring about peace on the streets. Mr Ali attended the scene for that purpose alone. He was not involved in the disorder or violence in any way, and on the contrary he was one of the principal reasons of bringing an end to the disorder. I offer my sincere apologies to Mr Ali for my post, the harm I caused, and I have agreed to pay him compensation to vindicate his reputation.

Burkina Faso has put beauty pageants on pause for now and instead held a science competition involving 84 young girls, who went up against each other in mathematics, physics and chemistry.
The idea is to push STEM education and challenge the view that those subjects are only for men.
The top five in each subject got prizes, with first-place winners receiving 2 million CFA francs, a motorcycle, a laptop and other rewards.
Every finalist also received a scholarship and university support to help them build the skills the country will need going forward.

Remember when that girl on tiktok called 26 christian churches,to see who would really help her if she was hungry and needed baby formula, and all of them said no. Then she started calling mosques and they said yes and even offered to help her with more.
