2023 was incredible, but 2024 is gonna be even better!!!

I’ve personally had many of my dad’s events recorded for various reasons, but totally understand why he has no interest.
If looking at it through a content creator perspective, promoters provide the set and the resources for wrestlers to make their content.

And Papa P delivers. Do you know how long I waited to meet the one & only @apter1wrestling 💪🏼… oh, seeing that guy in the last pic again was a nice bonus 🤷🏻♂️😂🤣👊🏼🫡🙏🏼
I see your argument but disagree completely
We are hired to wrestle! If it’s being filmed, it’s a bonus!
My 71 year old dad runs shows aimed to satisfy paying customers.
Wrestlers can bring their own tripod or pay a trainee to film them if content is their main priority
Wrestled here MANY times!!
These old school Lucha Arenas are truly something special!!
This building is Arena Afición (also called Arena La Afición), a historic lucha libre arena in Pachuca, Hidalgo, Mexico. The current building opened on January 31, 1952 (an earlier version of the arena had operated nearby since about 1938). Capacity is roughly 3,500.
It has long been a key provincial venue, traditionally running shows on Tuesdays and Sundays, and has hosted talent from CMLL, UWA, and independent promotions over the decades. It is often described as one of the more important and longstanding arenas outside Mexico City. The side sign advertising the coming event is typical event advertising for a main-event match featuring those CMLL-associated wrestlers at this venue.
The tiled facade with the large “ARENA AFICIÓN” lettering matches the building’s distinctive exterior. It remains an active lucha libre house in Pachuca.
I don’t think Rock & Roll Express’s Double Dropkick gets nearly enough credit as one of the “Best Finishers Ever”
Not Insane but it was flashy for the time. When fans saw it, they knew it was over!
WRESTLERS:
Whoever is GIVING the superplex/top rope move stands up FIRST!
Use your opponent to get your footing before guiding them up for the bump.
EVERY weekend I am surprised/disappointed by how few people were taught this🤯😩
Depends on your perspective!??
If you were a UWFi Fan, I’m sure the story sucked
However, “Super Babyface” Keiji Muto beating the bully who have been saying Pro Wrestling is inferior to MMA with a figure 4 is quite poetic!
The biggest crowd in Tokyo Dome history LOVED it!

How can the badass shootstyler who taps out to a pro wrestling submission hold in his very first match be the greatest story ever told ? It completely destroyed UWFi’s credibility (not that they had much left without Albright, Tamura, and Vader)
This is an complex take, but 100% has validity behind it
Obviously wrestling is still around in Japan, but has never regained the prestige & respect it once had
Takadas losswas the nail in the coffin for Puroresu as a fundamental institution of Japanese culture
Interesting @HeyHeyItsConrad 🤔
We may be the only 2 people on X who can say this! 🫢
🙏 @CarmellaWWE
My favorite match of all time happened 31 years ago toddy!
This match is not pretty. There’s no fancy highspots,
Just the greatest pro wrestling story ever told and the best example of the beauty of pro wrestling!
I can second this Tweet!
Especially given the framework around their body of work!
These guys wrestled in the same city every night for weeks. To stay fresh and maintain their heat was artwork itself!
Next Friday - October 17th

Lucha Semi-Final:
#ElRudoDeLasChicas vs @Daga_wrestler vs #ElFiscal
Unfortunately, a lot of Mexican Referees are very spotlight hungry,
I don’t know for certain, but I would assume that the ref insisted on taking the bump without considering he shouldn’t
It’s not uncommon for Luchadors to perform into their 70s.
A freak accident for sure
Absolutely it was, however Kayfabe can be very tricky among the general Mexican public.
I worry there will be some serious repercussions with athletic commissions & politicians trying to make a name for themselves.
The move being “banned” does not help matters 😩
Hijo De Fishman has been arrested following the Death of Referee “El Buho”
Fishman had given the 75 year old a Package Piledriver after the match which is believed to have lead to his demise,
The Piledriver has been banned in Lucha for Years
What a terrible situation 😭
Leo Burke is another territory name that doesn’t his due credit for being as good as he was.
In certain parts of Canada, he means just as much to fans as Bret Hart did a generation later.
If you haven’t seen much of his work, check him out!! Total Pro!
Necro signing a legends so he can be a character in 2k gives me hope!
I bet a Lucha Legends DLC pack is next!?
SURELY they’ll hit me up to be a part of it alongside El Santo, Blue Demon, & Mil Mascaras!
🤥😈🤭
