"Tell Lilibet if she can get there by tea time we could get in a ride on Surprise before dinner." 1958 personal letter of Lord Mountbatten to #PrincePhilip on family matters mentioning #QueenElizabethII. One of two letters (the other one will stay in my collection) in private hands. They were sold in 2023 by an English auctioneer and are said to be legitimately acquired by a journalist from the Duke of Edinburgh himself in the 1950ties. I rarely sell items like this, but this time I do. ebay.co.uk/itm/128138847072
