Keith Malinak Update: From his wife Kari... After a relatively quiet weekend around the hospital, we were back to doing therapies today. The communication device (looks like an iPad) is absolutely amazing. Keith is working really hard and has to build up stamina with using it.  We also work at passive mobility movement to keep his muscles moving and maintain range of motion. A huge victory over the weekend was that he is completely off the ventilator- they even removed it from his room! He is breathing on his own (still getting oxygen) and his lungs are strong.  I continue to read the lovely prayers and comments to him. He heard the song “Malinak Miracle” and thoroughly enjoyed it.  We’ve played the Huskers and Falcons games two weeks in a row, but we want positive movement forward, so I’m not sure we’ll do that again unless things start turning around in these games!   On Saturday they had him sitting in a cardiac chair for a bit.  This is a long road we’re traveling, but he is so grateful to be traveling with prayer warriors who continue to lift him before the Lord.  We thank the Lord for His steadfast mercy and love. This was all unexpected for us, but God was not surprised and He has placed us in the best care we could hope for and we trust His will. We pray for a miraculous full recovery, certainly it would be for our good, but we seek it to God’s glory.

Quick Keith Malinak Update: From Kari, Y’all - I have to share with you such a God send…. There is a communication device that we are going to be receiving that will allow Keith to communicate. Thought you’d like to know that tidbit ❤️

Keith Malinak Update: We want to thank everyone for your generosity- in prayer and in donations. Keith loves sharing his life with you and feels as if he knows each of you, personally, too!  He is able to communicate with his eyes, so we know he hears us. We read to him the many prayers and well wishes - so he KNOWS he is loved! The team of doctors and nurses are so incredibly lovely … he could not be in better care. God is the ultimate Physician and we do believe in miracles. None of this is a surprise to Him and we trust His will. He is the God who rose Lazarus and if it is His will, we know He will restore Keith. Through all, we praise and trust Him, giving Him glory. (Our daughters were able to bring his precious Tilda to give him kisses - they both needed that.) We continue to persist in praying for a miracle and thank you for your continued love and prayers. ❤️❤️❤️ kari & family

Just checked in on Keith Malinak. Heard back from his wife Kari. Hi - thank you. We read all the lovely messages and prayers to Keith. We know he can hear us, so he knows he is loved 🙏❤️ Obviously, more when I have it... Still in ICU. Critical but stable condition...
