WOW 😱 Thank you ever so much @Makers_Central for a wonderful weekend. It was a dream come true in what has been a nightmare past few years. It was a hard process to get us there. With mats ill health and rapid tiredness . But as a team of probably 10 back home and the core team at the event we did it. We apologise for being unable to sell any units as its the very first Prototype, but hopefully in the future this will be different. We loved the enthusiasm of everyone and cant wait to see you all again it was pleasure to meet you all. ❤️🤟🙏⚡🌪️🌞

After so many of you at @Makers_Central asked for a smaller, backpack sized totem, we’ve been waiting on some bleeding edge tech to make it truly bulletproof. It’s finally arrived.😁We are now going to be trialling Hakida sodium-ion batteries alongside a smart BMS on the bench, bringing the infinite power of salt to green energy storage with built in charging capabilities and extreme weather performance. To bring the physical build together, we've sourced our panels from @photonicuniverse, received our extrusion framing from our friends at @ooznest and we're just waiting on our Delrin sheets and filament to land. Once that arrives, we will fire up the @Sain_Smart proverxl 6050, and 3dprinters and following the same proven designs from 2018, but supercharged for the future of sustainable, decentralized microgrids. We needed to run a kinematics check on Harrisons delta project , so obviously it had to do a little boogie whenever "Beetlejuice" is typed into the console. 🍌 This @flsun3dprinter is now Powered by a @BigTreeTech Octopus board and running smooth. Our 11 year old wannabe engineer, Harrison,helped on the reins on the Genmitsu PROVerXL 6050 to machine our Mech Owl logo, and we couldn't be prouder of his idea to do it. With some help, the younger generation will become unstoppable! 🦉⚙️We used the same tester board from when he cut his name the other day, and the level of detail on this run came out brilliantly. It is incredible watching him pick up these skills so fast. A massive thank you again to @Sain_Smart for the incredible machine making all of this possible.🤟Next up: we’re doing a final piece and filling these cutouts with a glow in the dark resin inlay. Harrison didn't want to wait for the shop vac to arrive 😂 and wanted to go for his first spin on the @Sain_Smart ProverXL 6050 Plus. We had some scrap board he could use, so he jumped on Aspire by @Vectric to do a simple carve toolpath for a test. All this was inspired by his time at @Makers_Central when he was running the project Rogue Totem booth. Its amazing to see our budding engineer in training take to cnc so quickly.

He’s looking to expand his 3D printing skills into CNC machining with us so he can help us develop a smaller, backpack-sized version of our solar and wind microgrid you all asked for, and other ideas of his own.
He’s currently getting to grips with the Candle program and machine movement, and the next steps are to calibrate the Z-offset and run some test files to learn the ropes. We’ve got plans to add a dust extractor bigger spindle, and an enclosure next, but for now, the setup is ready to go for a spin.
A massive thank you again to the team at SainSmart/Genmitsu for the support, and to our friends who helped build the trolley and get his @Huiontablet mounted perfectly.and @mkm_crewe for getting the wood to us asap. 🙏💖
