Roger Clemens' first start back at Fenway Park as a Blue Jay came on July 12, 1997, and he dominated his former team. Clemens went eight innings, allowed one earned run, struck out 16 and walked nobody in Toronto's 3-1 win.
That's not a normal return to an old ballpark.
Sixteen strikeouts against the franchise you just left makes the homecoming impossible to treat like another July start.
