How it works: People trade $RSTR → fees buy OSRS gold → gold buys Robin Hood hats → available supply shrinks → in-game price rips → attention drives volume → more hats get bought. So far: • 61B GP spent ~ $15.9k • In-game value now at ~$22k • Over 8K hats across 8 accounts • Price moved: 7.63M GP --> 10.6M GP Whilst it's very likely these accounts will swiftly get banned for real-world trading, it's amusing to see an exogenous onchain economy impacting a game world in this way.
