Okay folks - it’s final farewell time. Today’s mass #TwitterLayoffs is the final proof I needed that this is no longer the right place for me. It’s been fun, but all things change…Twitter’s no exception. Account now dormant. Enquiries etc via website or agent (links in bio.)👋🏻🧡

Fortunately, what’s happening today at Twitter is not just shameful - it’s also illegal.
UK based - this is completely illegal - UK employment law requires a 90 day consultation period for any sackings of 20 or more staff. Hope the UK employment tribunals service is ready for the influx! #TwitterLayoffs xitter.cf/SBkcrn/status/15883576…

“Imagine all the people, Living without tweets, You may say I’m a dreamer…”
Already dreaming of everything I'll do with all the spare time I'll have when Twitter collapses in on itself. I could learn to cook. Or start playing the cello again. Or get another cat

“Maybe if I arrive in a £30million military helicopter, they might not notice today’s huge interest rate hike, or today’s authoritative prediction of a record breaking recession. Plus, big military stuff screams ‘INVASION’ - so it’s a win-win! Can we get hold of a Chinook?”

Home Office refusing to provide any comment on why Suella Braverman appears to have used a Chinook helicopter to travel 20 miles between Dover and Manston this afternoon. It's a 30-minute journey by car.

Invasion demands military helicopters. Military helicopters ‘suggest’ invasion. Oh it’s all so mischievous and so clever, this PR game!

The Home Secretary arriving by military helicopter in war-torn <checks notes> Kent. 67 miles from London. Takes 1h11m to get there by train, at a cost of £11.30.
Suella Braverman arrived at Manston migrant camp today by Chinook after visiting Dover.

One reason for spiralling asylum numbers is we’re no longer part of the EU asylum scheme. People come to UK knowing they won’t be relocated back to the first EU country they entered. No-one will mention this, or push the need for closer involvement in the Euro-wide scheme.

Is it me, or is there always a ‘manufactured’ brand-based controversy whipped up just in the run-up to Christmas, almost always involving much loved confectionery or snacks? Call me a cynic, but… 🤔

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama points finger at the UK government and its “failed policies on borders and on crime.” Failures with ‘Borders’ can be blamed on Suella Braverman - but failings with ‘Crime’ are the responsibility of our Home Secretary, whose name escapes me.

Seems Brexit really steamed in and solved that old immigration problem, then. Just like they all said it would. ‘Coz Britain can do things its own way which is, like, better ‘n stuff. Yep, good not to have any immigration issues any more. Thanks to, yeah, Brexit. #UtterCarnage

Mars Wrigley want to ditch Bounty from Celebrations as it’s the most expensive to produce, especially after all prices rising. They prefer bigger profits. It’s always about money. Always. The idea “we” want it removed is cowardly corporate bull. Yeah, blame us, not your greed.
