Their leadership is so weak.
The death penalty is inadmissible because it is an attack on the inviolability and dignity of the person. The common good can be safeguarded and the requirements of justice can be met without recourse to capital punishment: effective systems of detention have been developed that protect citizens while at the same time do not completely deprive those who are guilty of the possibility of redemption. #NoDeathPenalty

The Bible is very clear that capital punishment IS permissible. You can’t get around it.
In fact, the Catholic Church has historically accepted capital punishment. The Papal States even PERFORMED The executions until 1870.
So according to Pope Leo, one of the following has to be true:
1. He is wrong
2. The Catholic Church once was living open in defiance of God.
3. God’s nature changes and though capital punishment was once allowed, He changed His mind because our society is so modern now.

There is no doubt Hassan deserves to die. His crimes were demonic and unforgivable—death by firing squad is borderline too merciful. But broadcasting his execution is beneath the dignity & decency of our nation.
Americans will use violence if and when justified, but we do not rejoice in it. Kill him swiftly & silently.
Streaming his execution is not just a stain on our morality—it also gives the terrorists free propaganda that they will use to radicalize & recruit more terrorists like Hassan.

This afternoon in Marble Hill, a New Yorker was shot by an ICE agent in a residential neighborhood. Early reports indicate agents surrounded him and a 5-year-old child in his car before firing multiple rounds. We believe the child was physically unharmed.
This is an unconscionable and incredibly serious situation. I have called the President; when we speak I will demand that he ends all ICE enforcement actions in our city. I will not stand by while ICE agents terrorize our communities.
Our thoughts are with the injured New Yorker and his family tonight. We are praying for his recovery.
Get ICE out of our neighborhoods. Get ICE out of our hospitals. Get ICE off our streets. Get ICE away from our children.
Abolish ICE.

At the risk of getting crushed (again) this week, I’ll hesitantly point out that death penalties in the Bible were performed publicly before “all the assembly” (Leviticus 24:14)
This was because there was not just 1 purpose (justice) for capital punishment; there were 2 purposes…
1) Justice, AND…
2) Public deterrence, so the rest of the people “shall hear and fear, and never again do any such evil” (Deut 13:11)

The Pentagon says the firing squad execution of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Malik Hasan will be livestreamed after Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said the execution would be “public.”
Hegseth, told Real America’s Voice News on Wednesday that the execution of Hasan will take place at Fort Hood on Dec 3rd.
Hasan was convicted of killing 13 people and injuring 32 others in a shooting at the military base in 2009.

A FORT HOOD SURVIVOR WHO WAS SHOT IN THE HEAD BY NIDAL HASAN SAYS HE'LL BE THERE TO WATCH JUSTICE FINALLY HAPPEN.
He took multiple bullets that day, and he says he isn't going for revenge.
He's going so the families of the fallen and the survivors can finally close this chapter and keep living.
He said it best himself: you live by the sword and you die by the sword, and Hasan chose a coward's way by targeting unarmed soldiers.
Those families have spent years of Christmases, Thanksgivings, and Easters with an empty chair at the table.
This survivor is living for the soldiers he lost that day, and that's as American as it gets.

FSU @FloridaState has 32 scholarships currently under a federal civil rights probe over race and sex preferences. FSU's response is that "every student can apply."
APPLYING is not what the investigation is about, and I'd bet we haven't heard the last of it.
Then there's Clemson @ClemsonUniv, which is also under federal review over its partnership with “The Ph.D. Project”, a program built around DEI and racial discrimination.
It is rather ironic that THESE are the schools lecturing Congress on how to write a college sports bill…
They teamed up with Univeristy of Miami @univmiami and UNC @UNC on a letter asking the House to rewrite a bill that passed the Senate in bipartisan fashion with 77 votes. A rewrite means even more delay.
Delay means nothing gets done before the midterms. Funny how that always works! 🤔 It’s almost like it’s deliberate.
Univeristy of Miami and UNC should seriously ask themselves why they would want their names next to schools that are under federal investigation for DEI programs.
Not a great look!
Maybe these universities should focus on cleaning up their own campuses first.
The House should pass the Protect College Sports Act as it currently stands and send it to President Trump @POTUS to sign before the November midterms, which are less than one month away.
Stop stalling. The American people are so sick of every possible win for the administration and our country being stalled over and over again.
