I was formerly promiscuous. My wife was a virgin.
I was then radically born-again. Then I fell into more sexual sin. Then I returned as a prodigal. Reading, studying, learning, praying. Grief and repentance over my wayward ways.
We got to know each other for about a year...
Fun Fact: Groups that lock arms with Calvinists in their enjoyment of water include Nazis and Communists.
Fun Fact: Groups that lock arms with Provisionism in their denial of original sin include Mormons and Unitarians.

Yes, thank you!
It tells you that the Calvinists have controlled the narrative for far too long and Soft Calvinism is finally being unraveled from the Church. Thank the Lord that the bastardized Calvinistic readings are finally being put back into proper context!
The real question that always comes out of these, "just asking" kind of situations is this; Why do you care? Let people live their lives. The Lord is certainly not upset that Jane is sipping a coffee while listening to the sermon.
Calvinist double-speak.
Non-Calvinists, stop using Jeremiah 19:5 as though it disproves God’s sovereign decree. It doesn’t.
God did not command, approve, or delight in Israel’s child sacrifice. It was wicked. That does not mean it occurred outside His sovereign decree.
Acts 2:23 settles the distinction: wicked men crucified Christ, yet they did so according to God’s definite plan.
God can decree what He hates without commanding what He hates. 🔥📖

The only non-Calvinists who truly make the atonement universal are Christian Universalists.
This is disingenuous framing. Calvinists, Arminians, Traditionalists, Provisionists and just about virtually all other theological frameworks believe God is sovereign.
Danny knows this.
What Danny means is that people push back against determinism.
Determinism =/= Sovereignty.
Let's assume for the sake of the argument that Mary can pray for me.
How many people can Mary hear and pray for at once? As a human, I would assume one person, maybe a few.
If you say more than that, then you must ascribe to her some form of deity, as humans cannot hear, respond to and pray for thousands of people at once.
The movie Bruce Almighty (though a work of fiction) highlights this problem perfectly. "You've got prayers!"
As Protestants we often downplay Mary far too much. However, we certainly don't bestow deity on her and end up worshipping her.
Actually, he jokes about the logical outflow of the Calvinist position which would create such a contradiction.
Since he does not believe that such a logical outflow exists in reality then his joke is at the expense of Calvinism, not God. Hence the joke is not blasphemous.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

You will answer for your willful slander against divine truths, sir. You have been corrected. You have been shown the truth. Your behavior, and hubris, is astonishing. And...I bet you don't even know this is a major textual variant, either, and I don't believe you would have the ability to analyze the data on the variant even if you knew it was there. Truly, sir, your arrogance has reached new heights.
In this instance you blasphemously joke about contradiction in the Godhead itself. Your position does inherently introduce that problem, since your theology of atonement, as decrepit as it has been seen so far, cannot explain how the Father, Son, and Spirit are working in harmony to bring about their covenantal purpose. But it is right here you joke...mock...when you are treading on holy ground. I wish there was someone in your life to warn you off...to stop you from this insane and rash type of behavior. But, I have asked you, half a dozen times, if you are in obedience to Hebrews 13:17---and you remain silent. There is a reason for that.
"Look, I was once against this thing, then I realized it was just what Paul wrote! See, I'm virtuous now!"
I've read the Canons.
It's still nonsense.
People don't need to read the Canons to know it's nonsense.
If you don't take the time to understand what Calvinism really teaches (see the cannons of Dort) you infact do not belong in this discussion.
Look, I was once violently anti-Calvinist.
Then I learned that Calvinism is nothing more than what Paul wrote.
I learned that what I had been taught about Calvinism (though I do not ascribe malice to my teachers) was simply false, and they had no right to teach on the subject.
If you have not at the very least read the Cannons of Dort, than I don't care what your opinion is on Calvinism, because you have not done the bar minimum of your homework.
*Kills his child*
"I'll out-father you any day"
You keep using this word, I do not think it means what you think it means.
"We have every right to be upset and sad...It's not your f****** kid, losers. You're not going to be paying the bills."
Months after publicly announcing he aborted his baby with Down Syndrome, Jesse Ridgway (McJuggerNuggets) addresses the fallout on his YT channel.
He explains that the whole experience was hell, reiterating his view that the baby wouldn't have had a good life (despite earlier revealing that he is a millionaire) and that he wanted a better outcome for his child, which is why he killed them. "You can make a hard decision to have a better outcome for your children and your family."
He then takes shots at critics by saying that he's a better father than they are, "I'll out-father you any day of the week" and that those virtue-signaling at him can suck his d***.
Let's be clear. When you have no hermeneutic other than, "I will make whatever claim I want no matter what the text says because I am the ultimate arbiter of truth" you end up making claims that are easily debunked.
"Why were thousands sitting on a hillside in Galilee saved, transformed, and born again."
Except they weren't. In John 6:26 Jesus confronts these people who were following him after being fed:
John 6:26-27 NIV
[26] Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, you are looking for me, not because you saw the signs I performed but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. [27] Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him God the Father has placed his seal of approval.”
bible.com/bible/111/jhn.6.26…
And then after they inquire of what it would take to follow him, and hear his explanation, what happens?
John 6:66 NIV
[66] From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.

The world loved Jesus - the Church was threatened by him.
Why were thousands sitting on a hillside in Galilee saved, transformed, and born again by the good news from Jesus? What was so compelling about the presence of Jesus and his gospel?
It was not about the cross. The cross is humanity’s response to the good news gospel.
The gospel is a kingdom where Jesus reigns.
The gospel is a kingdom where you belong.
The kingdom is about this life and the invitation to experience the divine presence and love of your Heavenly Father right now and throughout eternity.
The kingdom is a threat to power and Patriarchy.
The kingdom is about a table the invites all to a feast.
The kingdom is about peace and justice.
The kingdom is about inclusion and love.
This is why thousands were following Jesus and why the ruling culture murdered him on a cross.
It is good for us as believers to remember that demon possession is real.
Just checking in to see if you have yet recovered from your live look at Matthew 23:37, or was it Luke 13:34?
Either way.
Just saw this. And once again...we just...listen to Scripture. Well, some do.
“For truly in this city there were gathered together against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel, to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose predestined to occur.”
(Acts 4:27-28)
The early church understood what Dinesh D'Souza denies: that in the single greatest crime in history, the ONLY time when a truly innocent man was murdered, not only were those who murdered him responsible, but...they acted in perfect concert with God's predestined purpose. We had already seen how God's sovereign decree and man's responsibility are compatible in Genesis 50 with Joseph and his brothers, and in Isaiah 10 with the punishment of Israel by Assyria. But here, in the greatest redemptive event of all, God's sovereign predestining decree, and the guilty men, together. In harmony.
Lindsay Clancy is guilty of murder and should be executed. And what she did was part of the sovereign decree of God. It is possible Dinesh does not believe in a God big enough for both of those things to be true, but everyone who prayers with the early church in Acts 4 does.
