Check in with your friends today. Even if you don’t have practice. Share a smile; it goes a long day.
If you didn’t EARN it (like someone handed it to you), you’ll probably BURN it (like completely waste it).
Ever sit back and ask yourself, ‘what kind of impact am I having on my friends? My team? My family?’
If the answer isn’t what you’d expect from someone else, change it. Your impact is driven by your decisions. Make a positive impact.
Put your heart into it. If you fail, you’re still light years ahead of where you’d be if you stood there and watched.
This should be required viewing for every HS athlete; no matter what sport. It will NEVER be easier to make changes in your life than it is in HS. NEVER. Decide where to go. Take action today.

Someone is always training. Even when you’re sleeping. Make sure you train today. Maybe while THEY are sleeping….
Don’t let your brain be an enemy. Make friends with it. Listen, but guide. Do not listen without a ‘third person view.’ And never let it just run amok.
The question I ask myself regularly is:
What can I do to help you enter the next phase of your life successfully?
At my age, giving is more important than taking.
Never underestimate the power you have while chasing your own dreams and goals. You’re actually motivating someone else to do the same and/or work on their own.
Most people aren’t comfortable having great days. They occasionally have one but then revert to their comfort zone. Change your comfort zone to expect wonderful things.
The attitude you bring to practice is your choice. Bring a good one, your choice. Bring a bad one, your choice.
Why would anyone ever decide to hang out with someone with a bad attitude? Also, your choice.
There really are not many tenants of successful people but one of the most important ones is to:
Do what you say you’re going to do
If you don’t want to do it, don’t say it..
