AUSTIN MAN charged with murdering a man over a diamond watch just walked out of jail after a judge cut his bond.
The victim posted photos of cash and a diamond Cartier watch online. Police say six people spent two weeks planning to take them. In Nov 2024, they blasted into his apartment, assaulted a woman, pointed a gun at a child, and shot the victim dead.
Judaren Forbes, 22, is indicted for murder. He posted bond last week. Another judge then set bond at $1 on his open gun cases.
When the victim was killed, Forbes was already out on bond in four cases.
Highlights:
2022: Arrested carrying a gun.
January 2023: Video shows him running into the street at a house party and firing an AR at a passing car. Prosecutors knocked the felony down to a misdemeanor. 60 days in jail.
March 2023: Arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. DA Jose Garza's office declined to file it.
Christmas Eve 2023: Arrested with another Glock. Out the next day.
September 2024: He fled a trooper from a street takeover, crashed into another driver, hurled his Glock off an I-35 overpass, and jumped after it. Hours later he swore to police his car had been stolen.
Ten weeks later, a man was killed.
Five of the six home invasion suspects were already out on violent cases. The murder victim’s mother said they "should have never been free on bond."
Now Forbes is back on the street.

It is longstanding practice to provide comprehensive medical care from the moment an alien enters @ICEgov custody, including 24-hour emergency care. ICE has higher detention standards than most American prisons that hold actual American citizens.

It's Throw 'em back Thursday and we are welcoming back BW Wilson, the library bear guy back to the streets of Austin.
Reports say he has a history of swinging sharp objects occasionally connecting with others. On September 7, reports say he swung a knife in a threatening manner near people on 3 separate locations: a gym, a restaurant and on the street where women were riding scooters.
Delia dropped two of cases and gave him time served (2 weeks) for the third.
How seriously will someone need to be hurt before Delia and Jose prosecute him for real?
It's a special encore edition of Mostly Misdemeanor Monday. BW was earlier arrested and convicted of breaking a door at the Cepeda branch. He was released on October 22, arrested again on October 25 for public intoxication (RORed, of course), and less than 20 days later arrested at the infamous Terrazas branch (the one with the Narcan machine). I encourage you to read the report. This time, @AustinPublicLib security is apparently pressing charges. Anyone else not surprised he allegedly re-offended?

He’s been convicted about 20 times in Austin, mostly for misdemeanors.
One of those cases: he pushed a shopping cart into a vacant apartment and started a fire. He’s also been arrested for trespassing at the 7-Eleven at Burnet and Anderson.
He doesn’t restrict himself to @MikeSiegelD7's district.
He’s a regular on West Campus, too—including incidents involving exposed body parts. He's also on the @safehorns list of repeat offenders.

A mother and her three young children were trapped inside an upside-down SUV that was filling with water in a Florida canal.
One of the little boys was banging on the door, screaming that his mom’s head was underwater.
That’s when Casey Curtis heard the cries and ran toward the canal. He reached the submerged SUV and started pulling the children out one by one, getting all three to safety.
But their mother was still inside.
Casey went back to the vehicle and found her unconscious, still buckled into her seat with her head underwater. He lifted her face above the water, realized she wasn’t breathing and gave her a breath right there in the canal.
She started breathing again.
The mother spent several days in intensive care, but she survived. All three of her children survived too.
Those kids watched a stranger pull them from a sinking SUV, then turn around and go back into the water for their mom when she couldn’t save herself. Casey Curtis is the kind of person people should know about.

AUSTIN MAN masturbates at a gas station register while ringing up a woman's groceries, and prosecutors give him community service.
Within weeks of that deal he was doing it again at a burger joint -- in the kitchen and in the dining room a few feet from a family with young kids...
Sept. 2025: Javon Gildart is working the counter at a Pflugerville QuikTrip. A woman stops in after her shift. Cameras catch him exposed and stroking himself as she walks in. He pauses to check out another customer, then continues to do his thing. When she sets her items down, he has the continence to stop again just long enough to ring her up, with his penis out, while she waves at the manager and points at him..
Charged with indecent exposure. Arrested a month later, out on $3,000 bond the next day. Then four straight court settings canceled and reset over nine months. Prosecutors handed him probation and 30 hours of community service. No jail, no registry, not even a guilty plea.
A few weeks ago, he's working at Buddy's Burger on Cameron Road. Surveillance catches him in the dining area masturbating, while a family with small children sits nearby. More footage shows him doing it in the kitchen, and again while working next to a female employee.
He was fired from Buddy's but it's still unclear whether prosecutors will bother pursuing charges.

Zach has used an SM7B on early records. That matches this song better than a bright pop condenser chain. Live, his voice is described as having a lot of lower-mid chest. The record is intimate, not glossy: close vocal, little room, light grit, organ and bass underneath, more dynamic than a modern country smash.202
So this is a reconstruction of the sound, not a leaked session.

The tragic murder of Andrew Wimswatt occurred in Round Rock, Tx - a small suburb just 15mi north of Austin. I threw the bike in the truck and headed up to find the small, neighborhood park itself was head and shoulders above anything in Austin. Nestled in an older, but nice neighborhood, it's home to the tranquil Compass Rose Veterans Memorial where Andrew likely sat after visiting his mother in the nearby Alzheimer's care facility. A groundskeeper blows debris. It's clean. Not a homeless vagrant in sight.
As I pedaled through the park from the basketball court towards the Memorial maybe 200yds away, I ran into 2 locals that workout in the park daily and new Andrew from his daily walks (as stated in the reports). The confirmed his daily routine and they clarified that the entire park has video surveillance (you can see them at end of the video atop poles).
What struck me is that I would never have pegged this tranquil, pristine park with cedar-chipped trails, a pool and an elementary school only yards away as the location for the next tragic and preventable murder of a harmless, good person. In Austin? Yes. This is the bellwether moment for you, Round Rock. Follow in Austin's footsteps and achieve the same results. Now is the time to make sure your City Council, your DA, your judges and your ISD don't follow the same blueprint that has decimated all of Austin's parks and culture as well as taken the lives of some good people at the hands of the mentally ill the justice system lets free to roam the streets.
