RIP Richard Riehle. "Office Space" Riehle worked extensively across film and television, amassing more than 400 credits during his career.
How old is the oldest living Actor? 🙀
107 YEARS OLD!
Caren Marsh Doll was born in 1919.
She was Judy Garland's stand in back in 1939.
🏴☠️Why does a 30-year-old pirate movie matter?
Because "Cutthroat Island" is a reminder that building something great isn't enough.
The filmmakers spent nearly $100 million creating an incredible spectacle. Real ships. Real stunts. Real explosions. Massive practical action sequences.
But audiences never showed up.
Not because the production wasn't impressive.
Because they were never convinced it was an event they couldn't miss.
That's a lesson that extends far beyond Hollywood.
I've seen talented creators, businesses, podcasts, YouTube channels, products, and startups make the same mistake.
They pour everything into creating.
And almost nothing into distribution.
They assume quality alone will be discovered.
It won't.
The hard truth is that the best product doesn't always win.
The best marketed product usually does.
You can build something remarkable.
But if nobody knows why it matters...
Nobody shows up.
That's the real lesson of Cutthroat Island.
As an editor, I don't cut footage.
I conduct emotion.
My job is to determine what the audience should feel about what they are seeing and then conduct the orchestra of music, sound, and visuals to bring them to that place. My instruments are lights, cameras and editing suites. Music is my roadmap.
People call it instinct, and that's true.
But it's also decades of trained skill.
Part instinct.
Part feeling.
Part skill.
The best edits aren't watched.
They're felt.
"Your ears tell your eyes what they see... and your heart what it feels."

😱SCARY MOVIE 7 vs. DISCLOSURE DAY👽
What the Box Office Is Trying to Tell Us
Comedy is meant to say:
"You're all ridiculous." 🤡
That's why I predicted Scary Movie 7 would do really well given our current political and societal temperature.
It doesn't weaponize comedy to attack a specific group, It pokes fun at everyone.
Conservatives.
Liberals.
Whites
Blacks
Media.
Celebrities.
Social trends.
Society itself.
Not to divide us.
To hold up a mirror and remind us how absurd we've all become in so many areas of our society.
That's what great comedy has always done. Mel Brooks understood it. (IE: Blazing Saddles 1974)
Meanwhile, Disclosure Day asks audiences to think. It places them in yet another dark place of a government conspiracy.
There's absolutely a place for that. But timing is critical.
But after years of outrage, division, and being told to pick a side, many people are just exhausted.
As a producer, though, there's another number that caught my attention:
💵Budget vs. Opening Weekend Worldwide
• Scary Movie 7 — $30M Budget → $105.5M Worldwide Opening
• Disclosure Day — $115M Budget → $92.9M Worldwide Opening
That's not a statement about quality.
One film cost roughly one-quarter as much to make and generated more opening weekend revenue worldwide.
Our audiences are telling us something important.
People aren't looking for another argument or conspiracy.
They're looking for relief.
Sometimes society doesn't need another debate.
It just needs a mirror.
A good comedy holds it up, points at all of us, and says:
"Look how ridiculous we've become."
And for a moment, we laugh together instead of at each other.
After the credits roll, it's ultimately the audience that writes the conclusion of the stories we tell.
🔥 AI Prompting Mistake #1
You’re telling the AI what to create.
You should be telling it what matters most.
One of the biggest misconceptions about AI prompting is thinking every word carries equal weight.
🛑It doesn't.
AI often interprets importance based on how much attention you give something in the prompt.
If 90% of your prompt describes:
*Lighting
*Colors
*Atmosphere
*Camera angles
*Styling
and only 10% describes the subject, don't be surprised when the style is perfect and the subject isn't.
👉A simple prompt rule:
50% Subject
30% Composition
20% Style
Tell the AI what matters most first!

Hot take:
Did the Movie Idiocracy predicted the AI era better than the movie Transcendence?
Not because AI takes over.
Because people stop thinking.
The danger isn't artificial intelligence.
It's outsourcing human intelligence.
Which future are we actually heading toward?
98 years old and still working nearly full time.
As we head into Monday, I want to reflect on a benefit of work that rarely gets talked about.
Britain's oldest worker, Ivory Ward, is 98 years old and still works four days a week on a factory line.
He retired at 79, lasted one day, got bored, and went back to work.
There is dignity in work.
There is self respect in being productive.
There is purpose in getting up each morning with something to do.
My own father turns 81 this year. After 30 years in the aviation industry, he built and ran two successful businesses for nearly two decades.
Today he spends his days building decks, maintaining his large garden, raising fish, and repairing just about anything that breaks.
The goal isn't to avoid work.
The goal is to find work, projects, and passions that keep you engaged for life.
Don't be afraid of work.
Be afraid of not wanting to work.
🔥Only 100 of these exist in the world.
I had the pleasure of photographing one.
The $4 million Pagani Huayra Roadster is one of the rarest and most exotic cars ever built.
Top Speed: 230 mph
There are more billionaires in America than there are Pagani Huayra Roadsters.
36 years ago, I stood behind my first TV camera and shot my first global weekly television show.
Still doing what I love with even more passion.
