A huge thank you to @frankcottrell_b for speaking so passionately about children with a parent in prison. ❤️ When asked by @OliDugmore which children's book every politician should read, he chose The Railway Children because, as he says, it captures "that sense of kids having to become grown-ups too... and how stressful that is." He goes on to describe the story's ending as "the sound of a kid given her childhood back." At Children Heard and Seen, that's exactly what we're trying to achieve. Our Summer Residential gives children affected by parental imprisonment the chance to put down the worries they carry every day and simply be children again—to laugh, make friends, build confidence and create memories that will stay with them long after the weekend ends. Until 5pm tomorrow, every donation to our @BigGive campaign will be doubled. If you can, please help us give more children the chance to reclaim a little of their childhood. 👉 donate.biggive.org/campaign/… #SmallCharityWeek #BigGive #ChildrenHeardAndSeen #ParentalImprisonment
