Όπως δεν μπορούμε να αποσιωπούμε τις εκτελέσεις αμάχων από την ΟΠΛΑ, τον ΕΛΑΣ και τον ΔΣΕ. Και για όσους παριστάνουν τους ανήξερους, η Ευρώπη έχει θεσπίσει την 23η Αυγούστου ως Ευρωπαϊκή Ημέρα Μνήμης των Θυμάτων του Σταλινισμού και του Ναζισμού (Black Ribbon Day). Ας θυμίσουμε ότι η Πολωνία, η Λιθουανία, η Λετονία, η Εσθονία και η Ουκρανία έχουν απαγορεύσει συγκεκριμένα κομμουνιστικά κόμματα, με διαφορετικό νομικό πλαίσιο και ιστορικές συνθήκες σε κάθε χώρα. Κοινός παρονομαστής; Όλες αυτές είναι χωρες του πρώην υπαρκτού σοσιαλισμού. Κάτι θα ξέρουν και αυτοί. Δεν υπάρχουν καλοί και κακοί ολοκληρωτισμοί. Δεν υπάρχουν εκτελέσεις που δικαιολογούνται ανάλογα με το χρώμα της σημαίας του εκτελεστή. Η Δημοκρατία δεν χρειάζεται ούτε νοσταλγούς του Χίτλερ ούτε απολογητές του Στάλιν.
