Wrath of the Star Gods is on Amazon!
In ancient times dimly remembered by myth, Tahlu the warrior allies with Marian the prophetess to save her people from the terrible rule of the Star Gods. It’s an action-packed tale of magic, tyranny, and faith

I’ve seen folks argue that a bad show/movie can still get people interested in a book. But I think the opposite is true! My buddy who loves fantasy was hesitant to try Wheel of Time because the show was so offputting. Without the show he probably would’ve tried the books sooner!
The toddler stole a tub of cream cheese when our backs were turned momentarily, and we spent 20 minutes looking for it while coaxing him to find it. He was very helpful, peering under things while going “HMMMMMM”. But he did not show us where he’d hidden it
I’ve successfully talked my buddy into trying the Wheel of Time. Loaning him the 1st book tomorrow! 😃
Heh heh, I signed up for the October writing challenge with @WriteforLife6 and my October has been so busy, I haven’t had a chance to even touch my book. Ah well, perhaps I can do a little towards the end of the month, or maybe it just has to wait for a different season in life!
SURF DRACULA S1E01
Scene: Night. Jonathan Harker is on a carriage heading to the mountains to Castle Dracula. Suddenly, they are overtaken by a fearsome carriage. Everyone screams. The carriage driver is standing atop it, balancing as if he’s…riding the waves.

Ep 1 continued
They go to the Castle. Count Dracula shows him around, and we see hourglasses (subtle hints of sand) in the castle. “Tell me, friend Jonathan. Does England’s oceans have…waves?” Cut to credits
Critics call it the most faithful Surf Dracula adaptation ever

I don’t care much about Clayface (a midlevel Batman villain) but I’ve been reading a modern comic run where he repents and joins the Batfamily to try to do good. Some interesting stuff about redemption that could’ve made for a unique movie. Alas, we’ll likely get Hollywood mud
Wow, Smallville came out 25 years ago! My wife and I watched the first several seasons and really loved it. It started getting kind of raunchy and weird, so we eventually stopped, but maybe we’ll give it another try someday. But still, those first few seasons were so fun
My wife sure accuses me of moving and hiding a lot of things when we literally live in a house with a Gremlin Who Moves and Hides Things (toddler)
So it turns out the entire Bush clan is just cycling through listening to Dracula on audiobook from the library. I read it, then my brother read it, then my SIL was reading it, but then she had to return it. Turns out, she had to return it because my wife had it on hold, ha!
What’s your favorite Star Wars song? My boss asked me, and I debated for a while on several excellent ones, but I’ve finally settled on Binary Sunset
I judge the effectiveness of baby gates, drawer locks, and similar devices by how upset the toddler looks on the packaging
Archaeology is pretty cool, but I’m not really sure how to work it into my book/author marketing 🤔
“Excuse me, would you care to hear a long-winded ramble about Clovis and Folsom points? I know a fair bit about them. 🤓 And while we’re at it, care to buy my book?”
Sad news: the toddler has upgraded from calling my beard a “fuffabuff” (buffalo). He now just says the much more boring “buffo”
My wife and I went on a date to see a play of Fiddler on the Roof! It was excellent, the performers really did a great job. The story is equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking, I highly recommend it to anyone who’s never seen it.
“Ok, picture this: A TV show where Kyle Chandler has to navigate small town drama and mystery surrounding a football field, in a series that also explores themes of racial tension in rural, small town America.”
“Friday Night Lights?”
“No, silly! Green Lantern!”
