+ Clatter Bash!: A Day of the Dead Celebration by Richard Keep
+ The Jumbies by Tracey Baptiste
+ Ceremony by Leslie Marmon Silko
There is no one way to become a reader.
For Dyslexia Awareness Month, we’re celebrating the students who may take a different path to get there and the educators and families helping them find what works.
Every reader deserves the tools, time and support they need to succeed.
How are our Marathoners doing?!
We’re more than a week in, which means you’ve already done something worth celebrating: you started and you stuck with it. Now let’s keep building.
Pick up your book today and give it your best.
We want students to get LOUD about reading. That’s what a Reading Rally is all about: bringing students together, building excitement around books and showing them what reading can open up. Every student goes home with a book of their own. Want to bring a Rally to your school?
Sometimes, a book gives us exactly what we need. A quiet place to land. A character who makes us feel understood. A story that reminds us we’re not alone.
On World Mental Health Day, make a little room for yourself today. Reading can be part of taking care of you, too.
Reading wasn’t always something Malcolm loved. He had to work at it. That experience is a big part of why we do what we do today. Becoming a reader doesn’t happen overnight. Sometimes it starts with one book, someone who believes in you and the decision to keep trying.
READY. SET. READ!
READMarathon 2026 starts TODAY, and we’re excited to spend the next 26.2 days reading alongside students across the country. Take it one day at a time, challenge yourself and remember that every page gets you a little further.
Let’s do this!
TOMORROW!
You’ve got 26.2 days ahead of you. You don’t have to be the fastest reader or read the most books. You just have to show up and put in the work.
We’ll see you at the starting line!
We’re almost at the starting line!
READMarathon is back, and for 26.2 days, students across the country are going to see just how far they can go as readers.
