You just need to bump a version in package.json.
Cursor boots an agent.
Forty seconds later you still haven't seen the file.
Legend Code by @jmeistrich is a native macOS editor for opening one file and changing a line, without the agentic UI.
🧵
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲
➡️ Any UTF-8 text file from Finder or ⌘O
➡️ Go to line, comments, duplicate/move lines
➡️ Incremental highlighting so big files stay snappy
Catch: early 0.0.1, macOS only, and you may need duti to claim .json/.ts.

My agent said it had added the contact.
It was describing the simulator, not looking at it.
agent-device by Callstack lets coding agents actually open, tap and fill an iOS or Android app, then save evidence.
🧵
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵?
You still need a booted simulator or device and a running app. React DevTools / CDP features want a development build, and Expo Go only profiles the host process. It is not a replacement for Xcode breakpoints when you need to step native code.

Designer: "When you tap the photo, can it sort of fly into the next screen?"
Me, three GitHub issues deep: "Define fly."
Reanimated 4.7 from @swmansion makes the new layout engine the default, and that's the one shared element transitions run on.
🧵
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲
➡️ New layout engine on by default
➡️ More shared element fixes
➡️ Animated gradients via backgroundImage
Shared elements are still experimental, and grab 4.7.1.

It's business accounts only for now, and Callstack admit frontier models still win on general knowledge. Try it on a few of your own tickets before you trust a benchmark.

iPhone Duo pre-orders open tomorrow, so somewhere a PM is writing a ticket called "fold support (small)".
react-native-arrangement-view by @thiagobrez splits your screen into two panes either side of the hinge on iOS and Android.
🧵
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲

➡️ useHingeChange gives you the hinge angle
➡️ A docs example for a tented iPhone Duo bedside clock
Needs a dev build and RN 0.83+.

My agent told me it had fixed the layout bug.
It hadn't opened the simulator once.
Mobile Dev for Codex by @lauridskern and Hanno Gödecke puts your iOS simulator and Android emulator next to the chat.
🧵
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵?
It's an early preview for the Codex desktop app on Apple Silicon Macs, and iOS needs Xcode 26 or later.
