Despite this, communities in the Kavango regions continue to speak out against the extraction in the delta and we stand in solidarity with them and all other communities resisting fossil fueled destruction in Africa.
The Okavango Delta is the water supply of an estimated one million people in the region. Due to climate change, the area is already warming at rates twice the global average. @NatGeo ran a series of investigations into Recon's mistreatment of communities.
