Surreal to finally have this: one of my all time favourite films in 4K on its 100th anniversary, with a 52 minute video essay by me included in the extras. Out soon!
A Brave Engineer charts the entirety of Buster Keaton's career through his use of trains, I'm very proud of it.
Ecstatic to finally be able to see HOW PONYO WAS BORN - HAYAO MIYAZAKI'S THOUGHT PROCESS (2009), a 12.5 hour fly-on-the-wall documentary covering the production of his 2008 film PONYO ON THE CLIFF BY THE SEA. One of my cinema journey white whales!
One of my biggest pet peeves tbh, especially when the person doing the pin is already letting go at 2.5 seconds, total immersion breaker. Or the person being pinned looking up at the ref to check the count, you should be able to instinctively react to the sound.
I work for WWE but watch a lot of wrestling worldwide. This goes for all wrestlers in all companies. I have worked in Wrestling for 42 years. An observation. We are portraying trained pro fighters with instincts ( even comedy bouts). If you don’t win you would make less money in the story we’re telling. Every TV bout , if there’s a pin, the cameras focus in. Please pin and kick out like your life and career depend on it. In story, it does. I’ve also been a part of knowing most talent since the 2000’s in many companies. As time goes by younger talent copy their favourite of film. I recently watch AJ Styles v Amazing Red from the early 2000’s. I see how many people copied them. What I saw was every pin was aggressively applied and shoulders covered and stacked. Every kick out they kicked out like their life depended on it. Something has been lost in the last 20 + years. Let’s not insult the intelligence of our audience who are giving us their precious time. In a fight scene in a movie ( which is what wrestling is) we know the punches don’t really hit but if we saw that we would eventually stop watching it. Your audience and fans deserve better. If you can’t be uncomfortable for a few seconds being stacked up in a pin, maybe this isn’t for you.
I'm back (kind of... still trying to shake myself out of a bad few months) on YouTube with a very random video taking a look at the new blu-ray of one of my favourite films from @NewWaveVideoblu

Just to be clear, I am not leaving The Batman Part II. I am profoundly grateful to Steven for coming to my aid during this challenging time to help me finish principal photography. Thank you to all for your concern and well wishes. 🦇
Outstanding

An entire season of great TV could've been funded with however much they paid to license Stairway for that NARNIA trailer 😂

RJ Mitte, who played Walter White Jr. on “Breaking Bad,” has died. He was 34.
• A cause of death was not immediately disclosed by his representatives.
• Like his “Breaking Bad” character Walt Jr., Mitte had cerebral palsy. Throughout his acting career, he was an advocate for disability representation in Hollywood.

Good grief, if this is what LA Knight has to offer, get him out of the main event and back to Main Event.

I'm sorry, I think Star Wars needs to move one from its "legacy characters" and stories, but if Denis wants to make a Darth Vader movie you say fucking YES, ok?

thinking about matt sobbing when he added waters of march to the ending sequence of the film at 3 am and how both curt and bobby said it sucked but then he showed to jay and jay thought it was absolutely perfect
Staying in a luxury lodge, with 6 TVs and 2 blu-ray players. Excellent. I brought a film. Problem is, there's no HDMI cables to connect the players to anything, or remotes to operate them.
Right.
Guess I'll stream something.
No, none of these smart TVs can access streaming.
Found this from New Orleans in 2014. While we'd been at the same backyard wrestling shows, I'd never talked to Pac, but I'm glad I said hello and we had a quick chat about our old backyarder mates. Still just seems so fucking weird that he's gone. Man...
Finn and Rose literally just use the animals as a means of escape, freeing them was a byproduct of that. Under JJ he's pining for Rey a lot of the time, at least he had an arc of morality and choice in TLJ.
