Theres already a lot of things for the casuals to do in this game, most pvp players dont even use 50% of whats in the game so why not give us a bit of something too?
Rust hasn’t felt the same in the last two years. And here’s the truth. Although going the more casual direction for Rust has been great for business and made tons of sense logically but now it has gone too far and the hardcore community really feels it. Add cheaters, fps loss and the blueprint frags to the mix and it really feels like the game is a chore.
Everyone gonna say boo hoo u only care about old recoil. Nope, we love the game and we stick by the game compared to all these casual players that play for 2 hours and let the game rot in their library
I’ve seen a lot of takes on Rust lately, so here’s mine.
Facepunch need to spend a few months focusing on performance and fixing bugs. The game is honestly being updated way too much, with too much stuff being added all the time. There needs to be a point where they stop adding new content for a while and focus on fixing and optimising what’s already in the game. Otherwise, there’s always going to be bugs and performance issues.
I know this is never gonna happen, but IMO, the current recoil is getting really boring. It’s basic and barely has a learning curve. Old recoil made people more invested in the game because it was harder to master, and if you did master it, you had a crazy advantage over other players. I genuinely miss that.

No matter how many times I report nor tag them as "not interested" the Rust cheat promoting dog shit videos always pop up on YT. Its actually fucking crazy
