Y’all need to stop! ✋ This was not a “relationship,” let alone. “Love story” because that’s what he tried to sell online to everyone that interacted with him on discord and other platforms. #Celeste was a child. At 11, she was being groomed. At 14, she lost her life. A minor cannot consent —ever. She was manipulated, placed in dangers no child should face, especially under the pressures of the music industry if you know what I mean (drugs, s€x, alcohol, etc). Yes, while I understand her life back at home should be investigated to understand what was going on, and questioning about why she was running away matters. But the crime—the abuse—comes from an adult choosing to target and exploit a vulnerable girl. That is grooming. That is predatory. That is criminal. To y’all— stop normalizing this. Stop applauding this. Stop calling it love. This behavior destroys lives. It’s WRONG! Celeste didn’t stand a chance against an adult who decided to manipulate her. To those who turn their head away— and allowed him to continue to do this for years, you better learn— you are as criminal as he is. Her story is a tragedy, but it’s also a warning: grooming often hides behind “romance,” “consent,” or “rebellion.” Don’t be fooled. Protect kids. Hold predators accountable. #CelesteRivas deserved better and everyone around her failed her tremendously! The sad part, this was preventable.
