Honest question: has any Man United academy graduate actually become a star? I can name 10+ from City’s. Can’t name one from United’s.
🗣🎙 United’s signings of Tynan Thompson, Karim Cassim, Isaac Konde and David Eze will not all start at the same level.
Cassim, Konde and Eze belong in the academy first. Thompson is further on and has already been around the first-team group. The difference should be the chance they are given, not the age on the form.
Youth needs a route into the team. Recruitment only matters if that route is real.
