A player turned on his old PS3 to play Metal Gear Solid 4, but found that he could no longer access his digital games. His PlayStation account was deleted after years of inactivity and all games linked to the account were no longer accessible. “Sony deleted my whole account due to inactivity…. I hate Sony but this just made me hate them more.” Sony’s terms allow accounts to be closed after 36 months of continuous inactivity, although users are supposed to be notified and given time to log back in. Good reminder that you don’t own your digital games on playstation
