She was a delight to direct & so naturally funny. She loved the joke about her make-up remover being strong enough to blow open a jailhouse door. I had her do a few extra unnecessary takes just to make the experience last a little longer. Brightened the day of all in room.

Barry Keoghan says the online hate he receives for his looks has made him “not want to go outside”:
“There’s a lot of hate online. There’s a lot of abuse of how I look, and it’s kind of past the point of — you know, everyone goes through that… but it’s made me shy away. It’s made me really go inside myself, not want to attend places, not want to go outside. I say this being absolute pure and honest. It’s becoming a problem. […] I’m still a curious human being that wants to go on [the internet]. And if I attend an event or if I go somewhere, you want to see how it’s received. And it’s not nice, you know?”

The world holds so much misery that miserable hearts forget the face of happiness.
They grow comfortable being sore losers, so when they see real sportsmanship it unsettles them! like holy water touching a demon. Because clapping for someone else’s victory requires something many people never learned…how to win with grace & pure joy, and how to lose with grace, chin up & dignity.

Cosmopolitan asks Sydney Sweeney if she ever intends to publicly state her political beliefs:
“No. I’m not a political person. I’m in the arts. I’m not here to speak on politics. That’s not an area I’ve ever even imagined getting into. It’s not why I became who I am. I became an actor because I like to tell stories, but I don’t believe in hate in any form. I believe we should all love each other and have respect and understanding for one another.”

Wagner Moura on his hopes for the U.S. in 10 years:
"The killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis felt like one of those 'What the f*ck?' moments that should wake people up. But at the same time, I saw reactions saying, 'A white person got killed, so now we have to do something,' as if it’s somehow acceptable when immigrants are killed."
I hope we rebuild the bridges between us. Polarization is democracy’s greatest threat. Many people aren’t bad; they’re misinformed. Technology helps science but destroys civic life. Attention spans are gone. Young people are depressed. Truth feels over. I hope we find a way back."
