Mansouri, Lebanon is being reduced to absolute rubble. Here is today’s latest demolition by Israeli forces. Genocide is defined under Article Il of the 1948 UN Genocide Convention as any act committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial, or religious group. One of the five acts is “deliberately imposing destructive life conditions.” More than 65 towns and villages in Lebanon are still under Israeli occupation and are undergoing daily illegal civilian home and infrastructure demolitions.
Here’s my view of Mansouri from the ground. Israel has been systematically destroying towns and villages in Lebanon. This is an act of genocide. @InfoSudLiban

This is why they were killing journalists. This is why they refused to allow international journalists into Gaza! They didn't want us to see this!

On 13 September, an MSF bus carrying 10 humanitarian staff in Gaza City was damaged by an Israeli airstrike on a targeted vehicle just two metres away. One of our colleagues was injured in the strike. The bus was clearly identified as an MSF vehicle, with a large MSF sticker visible on its roof. Once again, Israeli forces have shown a blatant disregard for the safety of humanitarian and medical personnel. Nowhere is safe in Gaza. Civilians, healthcare workers and humanitarian staff must be protected. Clearly marked medical and humanitarian vehicles must be spared from attacks.

The image on the left shows the funeral of children in Gaza yesterday, while the image on the right shows the funeral of children in Lebanon today. This is our daily reality. Are you silent because it's not your child or grandchild? If you are silent during a genocide you are complicit. Shame on you.

A horrific expose on the murder of Palestinian prisoner Tha'er Abu Assab, a Palestinian prisoner at Ketziot prison by guards in November 2023 appeared in Haaretz today. Among the most damning evidence in the case are the texts of one warden, Oshrit Aliga, who as you can see in the video inlcuded here was literally the poster child for the Israeli Prison Services. Here are the texts verbatim: On the night Tha'er Abu Assab, was murdered, she texted a friend: "Sweetie, here is an update for you, he's dead now." She added that she was "very happy and satisfied, but it's a mess right now. There was a lot of blood and they broke them." Follow-up clarification to her friend: "It'll be fine, I'm glad it happened. I'm ready to put my career on the line for this, I'm at peace with it, all of us are. The commander knew something like this would happen. he told us in the briefing and also asked, whoever feels they can't handle it should say so, because he really wanted to break them. I'm really fine, but you know how it is, investigations and all that mess." WhatsApp exchange with her friend, December 2023 (re: new detainees arriving): "They brought some Amalek-son whores down in the middle of the street, sitting there on the ground with just underwear and blindfolds on. I'm already getting myself and the shift ready to receive them for Shabbat, we will give them a proper Shabbat reception." Responding to her friend's joke about her baton: "My club is fine, after a fair number of disinfections." "Imagine me and you in a cell with two prisoners cuffed hand to hand, and the shift commander tells us 'go ahead, cut loose', sweetie, I swear you'd have enjoyed it here with me." When her friend asked if she physically hits them: "I wish I had a way to prove it to you, to show you something, I swear to you, sis, I break them apart. You've never known me like this. [This is] routine. [When the] next round comes, if I haven't cracked one of his kidneys, as far as I'm concerned I'm not going into the wing." WhatsApp exchange with her domestic partner, corrections officer Tamer Trudi, same month: "We got another 70 whores from October 7th. Each one of course got a personal welcome, and some got a joint one because of the [limited] supply of handcuffs." After Trudi replied "Haha, how nice that there's always a welcome": "And since we were already tired from hitting them, the commander took off his belt and undid it on them. And the screaming , like females — at minimum they're a punching bag." Watch the video to see her enthusiastic physical training that allows her to murder and torture inmates. She has not been charged for her crimes despite the overwhelming evidence, though others have for that murder.

For decades, B’Tselem has documented violence, demolitions, displacement and the dispossession of Palestinians from their land in the West Bank. Raj’in (“We Shall Return”) brings this documentation work into a new medium. Co-created by Faiz Abu Rmeleh and Keren Manor and co-produced by B’Tselem and NowHere Media, the film, which is currently being screened as part of the Venice International Film Festival, was shot with 360° cameras and also incorporates footage filmed by Palestinian residents and protective presence activists. Through virtual reality, it places viewers inside the spaces where Palestinian shepherding communities in the West Bank face Israeli violence, demolitions and displacement from their land. Since October 2023, 65 Palestinian communities have been entirely forcibly displaced, while another 18 have been partially displaced. More than 4,861 people have been driven from their homes and land, including at least 2,315 children.

This is hardly any different from 19th century British Lords and generals discussing what to do about Sudan, India, or Africa. Every word is predicated on the assumption that it's a westerner's right to talk like this.

I visited these Palestinian villages in the spring. Families were still struggling to farm the land of their ancestors despite repeated violent attacks by settlers. The settlers also blocked me but left when I tried to interview them. What do you call this but ethnic cleansing?
BREAKING: This morning the ICA demolished the entire village of Khirbat Al-Taban, Masafer Yatta in Firing Zone 918. The whole community was forcibly transferred. Absent serious Int. pushback, Smotrich’s election campaign will lead to the destruction of many more communities

Ethnic cleansing becomes genocide when simply removing an unwanted population becomes not enough. When destruction becomes the goal. This is what it looks like:
NOW 🚨: Occupation soldiers, together with settler-terrorists, just murdered in cold blood two Palestinians, 17-year-old Khalil and 18-year-old Omar, in the village of Al-Mughayyir. For the past two weeks, Israel has been holding the entire village under siege. Al-Mughayyir needs as much attention as possible before it’s too late.
