I've been getting the GPT safety check warning multiple times while using Astra in Codex. In these sessions the tasks were to oddly enough to understand the Astra release and optimize my configuration to transition from GPT-5.6 Sol.
Anyone else experience the popup often too?

After updating the ChatGPT/Codex Windows desktop app to latest, the config.toml permission option has been removed from the choices.
Could we get some changelog clarity on what this UI change means and whether we need to be aware of any material difference in how Codex uses config.toml? (Global and project level) @ajambrosino @thsottiaux @jxnlco

I just lost a second banked Codex reset because I had no idea what time it would expire. Goodbye reset 7/11 and 7/18.
It stated 7/18 but without the actual time, especially with people living in various time zones, it seems I have to just use it the day before even if I could get more work done.
Could adding the localized time of reset be considered? @thsottiaux @ajambrosino #OpenAI #Codex #ChatGPT

Happy days with another Codex reset! Reminder that if you've been a Codex user for longer than just over a month, you should have a July 27th banked reset available.
With everyone's next weekly reset happening on 7/29, make sure you guys plan your usage ahead to get the most out of it. Unless you've already used it of course.
Depending on your daily usage habits, a practical example would be:
• Use 100% over next 3-4 days → Use 7/27 Banked Reset
• Use another 100% over 3-4 days → Weekly reset hits on July 29th.
To plan ahead, check the exact time of your banked reset through the Codex CLI:

Ever lost a Codex banked reset because you didn't know what time it would expire? I sure have.
Look no further than the Codex CLI!
As shown in the video below, running the /usage command and then selecting the 2nd option "Redeem usage limit reset" lists all your available resets along with the localized time and date of expiry!
PLEASE NOTE: Selecting a further specific option from this list will consume a reset, so only select "Cancel" by pressing enter or escape if you are just checking the expiry time.
The desktop ChatGPT/Codex app currently only displays the date of expiry, which can lead to lost resets especially for those in different time zones.
Could the reset UI in the app be updated to also reflect the localized time to match the CLI? Thanks for the resets in the first place as always! @thsottiaux @ajambrosino @reach_vb @jxnlco

Switching to Codex and using GPT-5.6 Sol has been brilliant. I've learnt so much by simply using it daily working on personal projects for ideas didn't think I'd get to create myself.
I'd say the best part of the whole experience is the seamless troubleshooting that Codex can perform on it own, even on itself!
From frustrating troubleshooting to a one prompt fix, priceless. Try it out yourself and you'd be surprised how much of the leg work it can do for you.
GPT-5.6 has also been leaps and bounds bigger of an upgrade than I had expected from 5.5. I am looking forward to getting more done with my subscription once I figure out the newer ways to utilize the optimizations and use cases of Sol, Terra and Luna.
