18/3/1981..The big games keep coming as @LFC complete the double over CSKA with a 1-0 win in Sofia to progress to the semi finals of the European Cup!! @England number 1 @RayClem1 is unbeatable on the night thwarting the Bulgarians time & time again .. a magnificent display!

Alan Kennedy controversially opens the scoring for @LFC but in the 119th minute @WestHam have a free kick.. Stewart’s thunderbolt brings a wonder save out of @England No 1 @RayClem1 perfectly described by the iconic BBC radio commentator the late great Peter Jones.

14/3/1981... It’s a pulsating League Cup final as both teams go close but the game is goalless after 90 minutes due largely to the fact there are two outstanding goalkeepers on display at Wembley.... Phil Parkes of @WestHam and of course @RayClem1.. @LFC and @England’s number 1!!

January 1981 .... Injuries are starting to mount up as @LFC challenge once again on all 3 fronts domestically and also in Europe ... Thankfully the dependable & rock solid @RayClem1 remains in outstanding form... What a save this is from @England’s number 1 goalkeeper

29/11/1980.... Winter in the UK has certainly arrived as @LFC take on @SunderlandAFC in a division 1 clash at a snowy Roker Park. The snow, the orange ball & @England number one @RayClem1 making goalkeeping look ridiculously easy portrays perfectly football from bygone era

8/9/1980.. @RayClem1 pictured at @England’s training ground prior to the opening World Cup 82’ qualifying tie with Norway at Wembley stadium... Due to manager Ron Greenwood’s ludicrous goalkeeper rotation policy the @LFC number 1 will watch the game from the bench!!!

August 1980 ... @LFC defeat West Ham 1-0 thanks to a first half @TerryMac777 goal and @England number 1 @RayClem1 picks up yet another piece of silverware.!..He’s his usual immaculate self when called upon and it’s now only a League Cup medal that’s missing from his collection
