Even though the Bon Echo Inn isn't standing anymore, it is a large part of our parks history. Can anyone tell us what happened to it? Bonus points if you can tell us where it was in the park. #TriviaTuesday

"Ontario" is a Haudenosaunee word meaning "land of shining waters" -- talk about well-named.

Its #WorldTurtleDay and we want to remind you to watch for nesting turtles this spring. If you come across a turtle nesting please do not disturb it. Instead... observe from afar, note the location and report it to park staff. 🐢

Yesterday we tweeted a #PopQuiz asking who made these marks on a tree on the Shield trail. Many of you were spot on! These marks were made by a moose. Moose will peel strips of bark off with their teeth as a food source during the harsh winter months. #SorryNotSasquatch

The Curve-billed Thrasher usually stays 100 feet away. This shy bird has a sweet disposition and will serenade you...at a distance. That's why I was surprised when this one landed on a nearby cactus. He didn't sing, and he didn't stay, but I still felt blessed. #birdphotography

#DYK it's #NationalLifejacketDay? We are all eager to get back out on the water for this 2019 paddling season, but it is important to remember that LifeJackets save lives! They come many types ranging from inflatable to buckles, make sure to wear one at all times on the water 🌊

This male Bushtit was a new bird for me. I caught him gleaning insects from this evergreen tree, but he flew away as soon as I pointed the camera at him. I would have loved to spend more time with this cute little bird or his mate, which had pretty pale eyes. #NaturePhotography
