Although I can't make proper posts with images and that stuff in my Digimon blog anymore, I have been thinking on just publishing these larger threads in the blog on their own, since I think it could be better to read and find there.

Thinking about the differences between Digital Monster, Ver.2~5, Pendulum, to the now, something I got to appreciate from the early days is that, although I don't think it was intentional, they were actually expanding Digimon's Digital World, which I feel is different from now

But when I see how the Digital World and the Network are portrayed in something like Digimon Liberator and the Pendulum Color, I don't see any practical difference. They are basically just the same thing, but now doubled, for some reason.

I still wouldn't like it if they just killed it and ignored the old concept and just got back to the Network as it was in Ver.1~5, but slowly destroying what the Digital World was to make the Network 2.0 feels cruel in a way. Why does it even exist now?
