One of the biggest mistakes leaders make when introducing change? Failing to explain WHY. New technologies, processes, and systems can create uncertainty, especially when employees worry about how those changes might affect their roles. Simply announcing a change isn’t enough. Leaders need to clearly explain the problem they’re solving, why the change matters, and what it means for the people involved. Better communication builds understanding. Understanding builds trust. And trust makes change easier to navigate. 💡 Great leadership isn’t just about implementing change. It’s about helping people understand it. #Leadership #ChangeManagement #CommunicationSkills #WorkplaceCulture #BusinessLeadership #DigitalTransformation #TeamManagement #OrganizationalChange

Is your PLC platform becoming a production risk? A control system doesn’t have to fail completely to put your production at risk. Hard-to-find spare parts, recurring faults, outdated software, and integration challenges can all indicate that your PLC platform needs attention. Recognizing these warning signs early helps manufacturers reduce unexpected downtime, improve reliability, and plan upgrades before minor issues become major disruptions. The key is to identify the risk before it impacts production. Read the full article to discover the five signs your PLC platform may need an upgrade. 🌐 verduscoautomation.com/ #IndustrialAutomation #PLC #Manufacturing #PredictiveMaintenance #ProductionReliability #AutomationEngineering
Energy Awareness Month: Where Is Your Plant Wasting Energy? Energy efficiency doesn't always mean buying new equipment. Sometimes the opportunity is already sitting on the factory floor. Motors running when they don't need to. Poor sequencing. Inefficient VFD settings. Equipment running longer than necessary. Processes that haven't been optimized. The first step is understanding how your equipment is actually operating. Because you can't improve what you aren't measuring. Where do you think most plants overlook energy waste? #EnergyAwarenessMonth #Manufacturing #IndustrialAutomation #EnergyEfficiency #VFD #ControlsEngineering #SmartManufacturing

Being brilliant at your work doesn’t always mean you’re effective at influencing others. Technical expertise, deep focus, and problem-solving skills are valuable, but communication is what helps turn knowledge into impact. Whether you're leading a team, working with a boss, or building trust with a customer, how you communicate matters just as much as what you know. The good news? Communication is a skill you can develop. You don't have to be the loudest person in the room to be the most influential. 💡 Do you think communication skills are just as important as technical expertise? #Leadership #CommunicationSkills #ProfessionalDevelopment #EmotionalIntelligence #CareerGrowth #TeamLeadership #WorkplaceSuccess

New equipment doesn't always integrate cleanly with legacy controls. Audit communications and requirements before the equipment arrives, not after. #SystemIntegration #Automation #Manufacturing

What happens when AI takes the place of teachers in the classroom? Alpha Schools, a private school network founded in Austin, Texas, is expanding its AI-driven education model to Chicago. With annual tuition reportedly reaching $55,000, the school is raising important questions about the future of learning. Can AI deliver a better educational experience? What role will human teachers play? And will this model make personalized education more accessible or deepen the gap between students who can afford it and those who cannot? The future of education is changing, but the real question is whether technology alone can prepare students for life beyond the classroom. Would you send your child to a school with no traditional teachers? Share your thoughts in the comments. #AIinEducation #AlphaSchools #FutureOfEducation #ArtificialIntelligence #EdTech #EducationInnovation #FutureOfLearning #Chicago

Behind every on-time shipment is a night shift, a quiet walk-through, and someone who noticed a small problem before it became a big one. Thank you to the people who keep production moving after dark. #Maintenance #Manufacturing #Teamwork

New technology works best when it respects the people who've kept the plant running for years. Pair your veterans' experience with modern controls and everyone wins. #Automation #Manufacturing #Leadership

Not every recurring failure needs another replacement part. Sometimes the right answer is to repair it, replace it, or redesign the process—before the same problem costs you again. #IndustrialAutomation #Maintenance #PLC #Manufacturing

What if students spent just two hours a day on core academics and the rest of the day learning through real-world experiences? In this model, K–8 students use AI for personalized learning in reading, writing, math, and other core subjects. The rest of the day is spent on workshops, entrepreneurship, arts, collaboration, and problem-solving even for students as young as second and third grade. It raises an important question: If AI handles the academic instruction, what role should teachers play? Maybe the future of education isn't about removing teachers. Maybe it's about giving students more opportunities to create, collaborate, think critically, and solve problems together. #AIinEducation #FutureOfEducation #Education #ArtificialIntelligence #EdTech #StudentLearning #Entrepreneurship #ProblemSolving #CriticalThinking #EducationTechnology #AI #Schools"

The same component failing again and again quietly drains budget. Before you reorder the part, ask whether it needs repair, replacement, or a redesign. A simple decision tree makes that call easier and breaks the cycle. #IndustrialAutomation #Maintenance #PLC

Is Your Plant Actually Secure? A connected plant can do more. But it also has more to protect. PLCs. HMIs. Industrial networks. Remote access. Connected machines. As more of these systems become connected, cybersecurity can't be treated as something that only belongs to IT. For automation teams, security is becoming part of reliability. Because a problem with a connected control system isn't just a security problem. It can become a production problem. Is cybersecurity part of your plant's reliability strategy? #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth #IndustrialAutomation #OTSecurity #Manufacturing #PLC #IndustrialCybersecurity #AutomationEngineering"

Manufacturing looks very different than it did 20 years ago. Today’s factory floor is a mix of automation, controls, data, robotics, electrical systems, and most importantly people who know how to make all of it work together. The technology gets a lot of attention. But the real value comes from the people who understand the process, troubleshoot the problems, and know what to do when something doesn't go as planned. Modern manufacturing isn't just about more automation. It's about building better systems around the people running them. What do you think has changed the most on the factory floor? #ManufacturingDay #Manufacturing #IndustrialAutomation #AutomationEngineering #ControlsEngineering #SmartManufacturing

The algorithm used to be the game. Now AI is changing the game. If AI isn’t part of your world yet, you may already be falling behind. What do you think? #AI #SocialMedia #Marketing

If you could automate one part of your day, what would it be? 🧺 Laundry 🧹 House cleaning 🌱 Gardening & yard work 🛒 Grocery shopping I'm curious what people would choose. Engineers probably already have a few ideas for how they'd automate all four. 😂 What's your pick? #Automation #Engineering #Technology #Manufacturing

AI can process information. But it doesn’t replace human judgment, empathy, or lived experience. There are conversations where having a real person on the other side matters—someone who can recognize when a situation is going in the wrong direction and respond with genuine understanding. AI may have access to thousands of books and endless information, but information isn’t the same as human connection. Technology can be a powerful tool, but we shouldn’t forget the value of the human being behind the conversation. #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #HumanConnection #HumanExperience #Technology #MentalHealthAwareness #DigitalWellbeing #AIAndHumanity #Empathy #HumanJudgment #FutureOfAI #ResponsibleAI

One thing that makes humanoid robots interesting to me isn't how human they look. It's where they might be able to work. Most factories weren't designed for robots. They were designed for people. The aisles. The workstations. The tools. The reach distances. The way materials move through the facility. Traditional automation sometimes requires us to redesign the environment around the robot. Humanoids could potentially approach the problem differently. Instead of changing the factory to fit the robot... The robot fits into the factory that's already there. That's especially interesting for brownfield facilities. There are a lot of plants where completely redesigning the operation simply isn't practical. Could humanoid robots make some of those facilities easier to automate? I'm curious what others in manufacturing think. #Robotics #HumanoidRobots #Manufacturing #IndustrialAutomation #Engineering

Sometimes, you don’t have the spotlight you have to create it. Coming from Saginaw, there weren’t always the resources, recognition, or representation to inspire the next generation. But that became the motivation. For Chicano History Week, we brought the story to Flint, Lansing, Detroit, and Grand Rapids turning a project others said could take 9–12 months into reality in less than 5 months. When the mission matters, you find a way to move faster. 🚀 #ChicanoHistory #ChicanoHistoryWeek #Saginaw #MichiganHistory #LatinoHistory #HispanicHeritage #CommunityLeadership #CulturalHistory #Michigan #Representation #CommunityImpact #HistoryMatters #Leadership #Inspiration

AIPeople are talking a lot about agentic AI in manufacturing. What interests me isn't the technology itself. It's what we're comfortable letting it decide. We've already gotten pretty good at using AI to identify patterns and predict problems. The next step is giving those systems the ability to recommend actions. Eventually, perhaps, take some of those actions themselves. That's a pretty significant shift. Predicting that a motor is going to fail is one thing. Deciding what should happen next is another. And allowing a system to act without a person in the loop is another step again. I don't think the technical question is the hardest one. The harder question is: How much decision-making are industrial teams actually willing to delegate to AI? That's a conversation worth having before we get there. #AI #AgenticAI #Manufacturing #IndustrialAutomation #Engineering

Authenticity matters. Whether you’re creating comedy, documentaries, or simply telling stories, the key is to stay true to what you’re passionate about. Don’t create just for clicks or money. When you genuinely care about what you’re doing, it can grow into something much bigger than you originally imagined. Create with purpose. Stay authentic. Let the impact follow. #Authenticity #ContentCreation #Storytelling #Passion #CreativeJourney #PersonalBrand #PurposeDriven #Creators #DigitalContent #Inspiration #StayAuthentic #CreativeMindset
