This is a topic that has occasionally caused friction between the English-speaking Mega Man community and certain circles within the Japanese fanbase. Some fans have openly objected to our efforts to dump and preserve pre-release and prototypes and other out-of-print materials. This was also a point of contention back when the Rockman Unity app was active. The app was region-locked to Japan, but we regularly datamined it to make its free, app-exclusive wallpapers available to English-speaking audiences. A vocal subset of fans overseas werent. particularly happy about that, either.

I’m finally on vacation after a very long time, and today, while walking around wearing a plain T-shirt with a small Palestinian flag on it, a Jewish woman approached me and told me I should be ashamed because her parents were killed in Auschwitz. What the actual fuck? What the fuck does my Palestinian flag have to do with your parents? And here’s what drives me fucking insane: people are so terrified of being called antisemitic that they won’t even question an argument that makes absolutely no sense. We’re at a point where someone can bring up Auschwitz in a completely unrelated conversation, and suddenly everyone is expected to shut the fuck up. Since when does wearing a Palestinian flag mean I owe anyone an explanation about Auschwitz? I’m genuinely sick of this bullshit.
